Fweeee

The first chapter of Sam and Fuzzy Are Very Famous comes to a close this week. Tune in on Wednesday for the final installment of "Trade Secrets", which should prove to be every bit as baffling as the other installments were. After that, we'll be running a very special stand-alone "bonus" comic on Friday before diving headlong into our next big story next week.

I hope you enjoyed the saga of Fig Pig, America's favourite chogo. I certainly enjoyed drawing it! Come back on Wednesday for the big finale.

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A:Things Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"On the Fig Pig lunchbox a few strips ago, we saw all of Fig Pig's friends. Banana Bat and Potato Panda seem pretty clear, but the best I've got for the others are Lemon Wolf and Orange Cat, both of which neither rhyme /nor/ alliterate. What are they?" -Declan

Clockwise from the bottom left, Fig Pig's friends are Potato Panda, Banana Bat, Lemon Lion and Cataloupe. Collect them all! (Somehow.)

Bonus trivia: Fig Pig was originally conceived as Potato Pig! But between Topato and Beartato, I decided webcomics had potato animals pretty well covered already.

Bonus bonus trivia: I had no idea what a fig looked like until I googled it.

"Is the stuff that comes out of Fig Pig when he goes 'FWEEEE' web? " -Franklin

I hope so, Franklin! I hope so.

"Now that you're dead, could you please tell us which one of the many many afterlives for cartoonists you've ended up in? My lack of money is on Ironic-Post-Print-Reverse Garfield Hell." -Russel

Don't be ridiculous. All comic artists go straight to the good place. We created the world, after all. Can't you tell? Just look at tapirs.

"Giant talking banana, hmm? Sounds familiar..." -Carly

Looks like all my meticulously planned foreshadowing of seven years is finally paying off!

That's a wrap for this week! See you on Monday, team.

Sam and Fuzzy Fix A Problem

How about that? Today's comic makes two extra-sized strips in a row... the equivalent of three printed pages each. I hope you enjoyed them! Because now I'm dead.

Tune in again on Friday for our next strip, drawn by my post-mortem successor artist, Hans Guttenwald. Plus, another round of our "Q & A" feature -- just mail all your burning questions here with 'Q and A' in the subject line.

PS: Thank you to all the folks who have been passing along word of the Fireflower Roasting shirts to various gamer-related web locales. I saw it mentioned on two of the gaming blogs I read regularly, and I had a huge grin on my face when I did.
