Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Gloved Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"Is Benson the crazy guy who's afraid fuzzy will hug him in pt. 6 - 8 of Memory Lapse?" -Andrew

Yup... that's him all right!

Any of our newer readers would like to read about Sam and Fuzzy's visit to Hope Springs -- the very visit to which Benson is referring in today's strip -- you can find it right here. It's entirely optional reading, but man, it really puts the fun in... optiofunal.

"It just occurred to me that because Sam & Fuzzy is black, white, and sometimes gray it would look great on a Kindle! Do you have any plans to release Sam & Fuzzy in eBook format? " -Jake

I have actually been looking into this quite a lot recently, at comrade Malki!'s suggestion. Mainly, I think it might be an interesting way to reach some new readers. But that said, maybe it's something existing fans would dig, too?

What say you, Kindle users? Would you drop a couple dollars on some prettier looking, higher-res Kindle-ified Sam and Fuzzy comics? Drop me a line and let me know what you think!

"What font do you use for the comic? Is it freely available?" -Trace

I'm afraid the font I use is made out of my own handwriting... and as such, I prefer to keep it to myself. Sorry, boss!

"What sizes do the book club wallpapers come in?" -Cypher

1600x1200, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200... covering all three of your most common monitor aspect ratios. (So if your display is a lower resolution, you just pick the one that's the right shape... for example, if your resolution is 1280x800, you'd use the 1920x1200 version. The bonus pack comes with a guide to picking the right version for your screen, because I am a liiiiittle obsessive.)

Speaking of which... anyone who has a suggestion for what they'd like to see in the next Book Club bonus desktop should send it to me with "Desktop" in the subject line. I'll be putting my favourite suggestions into a poll, and Book Club members will be able to vote to decide which one they get next!

That's a wrap for this week, team. See you on Monday!

Ghost Trick

I just wrapped up Ghost Trick, the (relatively) new game from Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi. As you'd expect from the father of Phoenix Wright, the story is unapologetically goofy, but absolutely captivating, and there's a lot of fun to be had in the central "ghostly" item-posession mechanic that urges you to unleash ridiculous Rube-Goldberg-machine-esque scenarios to save lives.

But the biggest achievement, in my opinion, is the wonderfully detailed animation. Every one of the game's tiny little characters is absolutely dripping with personality, in a way I don't think I've seen since the old LucasArts adventure game days. Good job, Capcom! Sorry no one bought it. A+, would Ghost Trick again.

Book Club

Whew! I've updated the Book Club Info Page with descriptions and previews of all the swag going into our next bonus pack. As you can see, there's even an extra desktop that wasn't part of Friday's preview, featuring the mighty Fig Pig!

If you're a proud Sam and Fuzzy Volume 1 owner, (or if you pick one up before April 1st), these goodies will be yours by the first weekend of April. And all for the price of a box of pencils! (That you took for free from the office supply closet when no one was looking.)

This time around, I'll also be enlisting out members to help me decide the subject matter of our next bonus desktop. Here's how it's going to work! Start emailing me your suggestions (put "Desktop" in the subject line), and I'll take the best ideas and put them into a poll that will come along with the new bonus pack. Whichever one wins the poll will be a part of the next pack. Democracy!
