Holy smokes! In only a couple of days, Shannon and I will be hopping on a plane and heading to Los Angeles to spend a few days absorbing its various theme parks. But worry not -- your regularly scheduled Sam and Fuzzy programming will carry on as usual despite our physical absence.
And being stuck on a plane for a few hours will also be as good an opportunity as any to finish off the (relatively) new Professor Layton game! I know I was actually talking to a bunch of you via twitter the other day about how rare it is for a story-driven video-game series to keep the narrative quality up past 3 instalments, but The Last Spectre is totally pulling it off. It never ceases to amaze me how a series of brain teaser collections -- a genre plagued by some of the laziest cash grabs in gaming -- wound up being graced with such charming stories and gorgeous classical 2D animation. Thanks, Level 5, for not phoning it in.
