Sam and Fuzzy Vol. 3

Team: I have it on pretty good authority that the Sam and Fuzzy Under the Influence print collection will almost certainly go on sale today! We'll be offering it on it's own, and in special bundles with various combinations of our previous two books. I'll update this space as soon as it's available!

EDIT: THEY ARE HERE

I've also got two new shirts -- a Baker the Dog "I'm So Excited About Whatever" design and a new gaming one -- and the new "Shoulda Ordered Pizza" apron on the way. These should be available in the near future!

And for those of you who enjoy "behind the scenes" features, I posted a bunch of stuff on my tumblr about how I created the cover. Pretty much every step of the way is chronicled there, from tiny thumbnail sketches to full blown finished colour art.

PS: Don't forget, Edmonton... I'm coming for you this weekend!

Edmonton Expo this Weekend

Just a reminder, friends... I will be in Edmonton this weekend for the first ever Edmonton Expo! The show is being put on by the same folks as the phenomenal Calgary Expo, so I'm really looking forward to checking it out! Like at Calgary, I will be splitting a booth with my pal Alina from Weregeek -- so if you're going to be at the show, be sure to swing by and say hello!

Baker the dog makes a special guest appearance in today's Skull Panda! BE AWARE.

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Scout Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

" I notice that in your newsposts, you frequently say, “scout’s honor”. But as you’re Canadian, I’m guessing you’re not referring to the Boy Scouts of America… what’s the Canadian version? " -Shanaar

Scouts extend beyond America! Although in Canada, like most of Europe, they are just called "scouts" and include both boys and girls.

That said, I have never been a scout in my life, and probably just picked up the expression from TV as a kid. I'm a bit of an expression sponge... I frequently find myself accidentally absorbing and using the personal verbal ticks of my friends, be it Ryan calling his dog a "ferocious beast who must be destroyed" or JJ jokingly referring to everything as the "_____ of the sea". It's actually a little embarrassing... especially when I regurgitate a phrase in front of the person who uses it!

"I thought you ended this comic two, maybe more, years ago. I remember seeing Sam and Fuzzy on a cab and reading something about how you were done writing. Am I crazy? I loved ready this comic and am overjoyed to see that it's still going. " -Kyle

You are totally crazy. I don't think I've ever threatened to stop Sam and Fuzzy, especially not that long ago!

There is an end to the story that I'm working towards, but it's still a ways away yet. And I promise as soon as I do finish this story, I'll just start up another one. I'm kind of addicted to making comics. (Also I need to make them to live.)

"In today's page, you used an unnecessary N in the word "abandoning." How does it feel to know that you are contributing to the worldwide N shortage?" -Laura

Whatever, Laura. I am the 1%. Get your own Ns.

That's a wrap for this week! See you on Monday, team.
