Calgary Expo

The Calgary Expo is in full swing! If you're going to be at the show, be sure to stop by booth 722/822. There you will find, not just me, but Alina Pete, Jeph Jacques, and Angela Melick as well! It's a veritable quadrangle of webcomic goodness.

Alas, I was too busy prepping for the show to put together a Q and A feature this week. But we'll return to business as usual next friday! Until then, enjoy today's comic, and come back on Monday for the next part of our story.

Calgary Expo

We're off to Calgary! And since the Calgary Expo has always been my best show for book sales... joining us on our epic voyage through the rockies is every copy of the Omnibus I had in my closet.

Now, I know that looks like a pretty impressive quantity. Cocky, even! But... uh... it's actually only 32 copies. (They're really big books!) So if you're going to be at the show and want to nab an Omnibus, be sure to swing by as early as you can! I'll have both hardcover and softcover versions available.

And for those of you who won't be at the show... Omnibuses will be available to order online really, really soon. I will let you know as soon as Topatoco pulls the trigger!

New (sky)Lands

For those who haven't already learned my terrible secret shame via twitter, I kicked off 2014 by by developing a terrible addiction to Skylanders -- that videogame (for children) that makes toy figurines (also for children) playable in-game. I tried to keep away, but Swap Force is a pretty fun spin on Gauntlet Legends, and I like little toy figures, so... danger.

They are announcing the next game in the series this week! Honestly, I'm kind of hoping it will be something terrible sounding, so this won't happen again:

(It will probably happen again.)

This Wednesday, we'll be heading out for our annual drive through the rockies to Calgary Expo! We've done this same trip every year since I started doing the show, and I always look forward to it. It takes a lot longer than flying in, certainly... but as far as travelling to cons goes, you really can't beat the view. (Forests! Mountains! Goats!)
