Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Talky Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"What are the odds of Question Gator getting his own nifty shirt? Thanks!" -Kyle
I think a "Shoot First? Ask Questions Gator!" shirt (complete with the little 'go for it' speech balloon) would be really cute! My only concern is that it might appear to some like, uh... a shirt that encourages shooting people. Do you guys think anyone reading would take it that seriously?
"So apparently there two types of talking animals in the Sam and Fuzzy verse?
-The first type is 'invisible' rhyming/pun advice animals (Conscience Cat, Legal Eels, etc)
-And the second type is visible not rhyming/pun advice animals (Dr. Crab, Question Gater)
So my question is, is Fuzzy in the first group (to Eric is human, questionable Erics, etc) or is he in the second group (Master of Finance Bear)?" -Tom
I have never thought of it this way before! I think when you get right down to it, the Sam and Fuzzy universe is just full of overly-opinionated animals. Fuzzy is no exception.
"I think you said in a previous Q & A that we're currently in the latter half of this story arc, which (at that time) was currently your last planned arc/era, but that if you had new ideas for the story that you felt were worth pursuing, the story would continue. Have you come to any more, um, conclusions regarding that particular line of thought since then?" -BartyMae
We are indeed in the later half of the big arc that began with Sam and Fuzzy Fix Your Problem! I still have a ways to go yet, but my current feeling is that when it is done, it's unlikely that I'll do another "Sam and Fuzzy" story per se... that is, a story that directly centers around those two characters.
There are lots of other comic ideas I'd like to work on! Some are totally unrelated to S&F, but there are also a number of corners of the S&F universe that I'd like to explore more thoroughly. I would love to spend some more time with Gertrude and her growing business empire, for example, or Edwin and his integration into human society. But it'll all depend on what feels right to me as I get closer to the ending of this story!
That's a wrap for this week. See you on Monday, team!
