Oh right

The wirelessly controlled X and Y bots, lest you forget, are currently being wirelessly controlled by Unit 01 himself. (AKA Mr. Cin.)

Going to be heading down to Seattle later this week, but comics will keep coming as usual while I'm away. Hope to see some of you at this year's Emerald City Comic-Con! I always have a blast at this show.

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A:  Plate Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"Do you know what Carlyle's face looks like or is it a mystery even to you?" -Kevin

As a wise man once said...

However, if you'd like to know what RIKK thinks Carlyle looks like, you can find out by reading the special "alternate ending" bonus comic hew drew for our original Sam and Fuzzy Prequel Two-Volume Omnibus! (The infamous omnibus can be purchased in my Topatoco store, digitally in my PDF store, or as an add-on item on my pre-order page for my new books.)

"Have you, by any chance, ever heard the first song from Tom Waits's Swordfishtrombones? It reminds me of a certain place which has appeared in a certain comic." -Name Not Available At This Time

I have not! But you can never have too much Tom Waits in your life, so I'll share it with the rest of the gang! (Seems like something that Malcolm might like, IMO.)

"What's the most obscure character somebody has asked you to draw on their bookplate?" -Jack

Well, as you probably know, I'm about to draw a huge batch of them right now for all the Artist Edition Volume 5s that people kickstarted or are pre-ordering. One backer has asked for Questions Gator -- a character who only appeared in one panel -- which is about as obscure as it can get!

I've also been asked to draw 17th century chemist Robert Boyle a few times, in reference to this Classic-era strip. Boyle has technically never appeared in the comic in person, so that may count as even more obscure, even if it's a slightly more popular request!

That's all for this week, team. See you on Monday with our next comic!

Kraaaak

Kickstarter backers! If you ordered an artist edition book, the time has come to let me know what you'd like drawn on your bookplate! To do so, just log in to Kickstarter and check your messages... there'll be one in there from Make That Thing with a link to a form where you can tell me your choices!

We return on Friday with a new comic and a new round of reader Q and A! If you've got a question you'd like me to answer, just tweet it at me, or alternately, pop it in an email with Q and A in the subject line.
