Sam and Fuzzy Q & A:  Brian Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"Getting a strong Life of Brian vibe in today's (Friday, 4/24) strip. Intentional homage? Unintentional ripoff? SPACE GOPHERS??" -Brenna

Oh man! It wasn't an intentional reference. But Monty Python was such a big part of my youth, and played such a big role in shaping my general sense of humour, that I am probably channeling it unconsciously all the time. There are a lot of scenes of stupid performer-and-audience interaction in my writing that have the flavour of similar bits in the Python films.

"Sam, with all due respect... where the heck is the new book kickstarter?!? I can't wait!" -Dave

Hahaha... almost done, almost done! I've got all the books and other rewards designed and ready, and am just putting the project page together now.We had to delay the project a couple of extra weeks just to make sure we had all our shipping plans and backup plans sorted out. (As you're probably aware, the global shipping situation is a little more complicated these days than in the past!) But we've got it all figured out now. So, soon! Very soon!

"Has Invader Zim Quarterly 2 been delayed, or is it still coming out in June?" -Cam

It hasn't been announced yet, but I'm sure it will be delayed. Issue #1 has been officially delayed, to July, and I'm sure #2 won't be released before #1 is! Unfortunately, a lot of traditional monthly comic books like Zim are being put on hold because so many comic book stores are closed right now. But I'm sure when stores start reopening, releases will resume!

For those who don't know, Issue #2 is the next issue that I wrote! I also am writing the story for issue #3. (I'm actually writing it right now.) Issue #1 was written by the comic's other regular writer, Eric Trueheart. (He was also one of the main writers from the original show!)

That's all for today, team! Comic back on Monday for our next comic.

More-io

For those of you out there armed with Mario Maker 2, I've uploaded a couple more levels for you to try!

Lemmy's Cannonball Run (DLD-6MP-FKF) is a remake of my most popular level from Mario Maker 1. I tweaked the layout slightly and added a checkpoint to make it a smidge more forgiving.

Yoshi's Demolition Crew (WCM-K3T-7WF) started as a remake of one of my older levels, but I wound up changing almost everthing about it. It still revolves around using Yoshi to carry fireballs and explode bomb blocks, but the obstacles between the blocks are almost completely different (and mostly snowball oriented).

That's all for today, team! But come back on Friday for our next comic, and a new round of Q and A! (As always, if you've got a question for me, just pop it in an email with "Q and A" in the subject line.)
