Telephone Czar

I'm still taking suggestions regarding the Butcher shirt, but with the responses so divided, I'm starting to think that none of the options I've suggested so far are the way to go. Because Butcher has appeared in so few strips, I think it's hard to figure out what image is the most "definitive." I think I'll hold off on deciding for now. Besides, there is a Butcher storyline coming up in the not-to-distant future that might provide a better candidate.

But the "Can't Dance" t-shirt is still on the way. I'm also looking into other kinds of shirts besides the usual ts, babydolls and hoodies. Personally, I'm constantly wearing button-up collared overshirts, and I'd really like to make a slick black-and-white one with an image on the back and a small "Sam and Fuzzy" logo above the front pocket. I will look into it.

That's all for now. See you on Monday!

Haunt you every day

Today's comic is twice as long as usual. Why? Because I can. Because I had to.

I'm not sure what to do about the Butcher shirt. Some people would really like a shirt based on the last panel of this comic, but others would prefer one based on the last panel of this comic. And some would like something totally different. I will have to think about this some more!

As you might have noticed, I title most of my rants using lyrics from songs. Usually, all you need to do to find out the song is by googling the phrase in quotations. But today I'm going to outright tell you: "Haunt You Every Day" is the closing track to Weezer's upcoming album, "Make Believe". The album itself is a bit of a mixed bag, but this particular song is red hot. I haven't been this impressed by a Weezer song in ages!

For every sprinkle I find, I shall kill you

I'm finally working on the Can't Dance t-shirt. I was also thinking of doing a shirt featuring Butcher the cat, since folks have been requesting one for ages. The question is... what exactly should the image be? A shot of Butcher on his own is probably too small and too dull for a shirt. Personally, I was considering an adaption of the fourth panel of this comic, but perhaps you have other ideas! Let my email address be your sounding board.

The first episode of the new season of Family Guy -- airing in a week but already floating around online -- is great. It's hardly the best episode in the show's history, but man, does it ever feel nice to see the Griffins in action again. Let's hope Sunday's episode of American Dad can live up to the half hour that preceeds it.

The new Ben Folds disc, Songs for Silverman, drops tomorrow! It is a fantastic piece of work from beginning to end, with some of the man's most complex and gorgeously crafted songs to date. It's also blissfully free of the over-production that plagued his previous CD. If you are a person who enjoys intelligent pop music, I urge you to pick this up.
