Your debt's paid off but it don't feel gone

It looks like I'll be visiting this year's Anime Evolution convention in Vancouver as "special guest." I think I watched an anime once, so I can see right away why they wanted to invite me. Seriously though, Greg is going to be there too so I guess that makes it OK! If you're going to be in Vancouver in August you should definitely swing by and say hi!

And of course, I'll be at this year's San Diego Comic-con in July. It's crazy how quickly that show is creeping up!

Come make your complaint to the Bootleg Saint

I'm happy to see that people are excited about the new book! But it's true... like the first mini book, it's really focused on presenting my most recent material. A few folks have emailed asking me if I ever plan to make a book collecting the older Sam and Fuzzy comics. Well, if the new mini-book sells well enough, I promise that will be my very next book project.

A few people have also asked if I'll ever republish the exclusive bonus stories I've drawn for the minis, either here on the website or someplace else. In a word... no! That would not be fair to the people who bought them. I would feel like a webcomic tyrant. I'd have to purchase a throne of skulls to put in my office, and that would totally clash with my drapes.

The exclusive pages stay exlusive. I know that kind of sucks for the people who, for various reasons, can't buy the minis, but that's how it has to be! I do my best to make these mini-books special. These are the first books I have ever published, after all! They are my babies. I have filled them with my blood, sweat and tears. If they were real babies I would have probably gone to jail for doing that, but they're not babies, they're books. I just pay the babies to staple them together.

Money can be exchanged for goods and services

All right! First of all, as you probably noticed from the banner above, the second book is now available for pre-order. The printer is going to be printing them much earlier than I expected, so now I'm taking pre-orders earlier than I expected, too.

Pre-orders are totally essential in self-publishing. They help take a chunk out of the brutal initial printing cost, and they give you an idea of how many books you should print in the first place. You guys have always been super supportive of my pre-ordering campaigns, both for the shirts and the books, and boy do I appreciate it. So this time, I'm signing every book, and giving one random pre-orderer the original artwork for the book cover. You can read all about this in the book section of the shop.

Secondly, the Noosehead and Cannibal Pride designs are now available in the t-shirt section. I'm also offering Capitalism and Skull Panda Head shirts again, since I'm already printing up some of them to take with me to Comic-con.

I really like how the two new shirts turned out, and had a LOT of fun picking out the names of various famous (and not so famous) fictional cities to put on the back of the Noosehead tour shirt. Some of them are pretty nerdy references, I guess. If you can identify the sources for all the city names, you are as huge a geek as me and there is absolutely no hope for you.

Finally, um... I finished the code for the shop pretty late, so if there are any broken links or other problems, please email me and let me know. My brain is a little fried at the moment!
