A tax on all wicker goods

Next week, I'll be shipping off to Toronto to experience the Paradise Comic-con. Dayfree Press is going to be ludicrously represented at this shindig, with the authors of Dinosaur Comics, Questionable Content, Stuff Sucks, Dr. McNinja and White Ninja splitting a booth with moi while Ramon from Butternut Squash lurks nearby.

That's right... we're all going to be there to meet fans, peddle our books and shirts and toss out free sketches like no one's business. If you are in the area, be sure to attend for guaranteed good times.

Package rat

As you may have heard, the United States Postal Service raised their rates for mailing packages a week or two ago. It's probable that I'm going to have to bump up my own shipping rates at least a little bit, too. But I really, really hate doing that, so I've been putting it off.

I'm going to keep the old rates in effect until Monday, so if you'd like to take advantage of them, now is the time to order! And then, starting on Monday, I'll raise them as little as humanly possible. Deal?

"Deal!", I imagine you saying!

Happy Anniversary, Sven and Fluffy

Five years! That's how long it has been since Sam and Fuzzy updated for the very first time. And that makes this the fifth time I've had to write a newspost about the comic's anniversary... which probably explains why I'm having trouble thinking of something to say that I didn't already mention one of the last four times.

I guess five years is a pretty long time to spend doing almost anything! But honestly, it's not something I think about much. I like drawing Sam and Fuzzy comics. It's practically an addiction. 700-plus strips isn't an accomplishment, it's a symptom.

Anyhow, happy anniversary to me! And thanks to all of you folks for reading my work, sending me nice comments and buying my wares. The thrill of having you all here has yet to wear off.
