Return of the King

The story of how Sam became "qualified" to resurrect the Ninja Mafia was summarized pretty succinctly by Blank in Regicide. Alternately, if you're really feeling ambitious you can jump way back to the Empire and watch that summarized story unfold right before your eyes in real time, 2005 style!

Or, you can not read any of it. It's optional!

In the same sense that ice cream and puppies are optional.

Meanwhile, our book sale continues! If you have yet to pick up the Weekly World News and Noosehead dead-tree editions, this is a great chance to do so at "crazy" low prices.

Signed books with sketches are also available... just scroll down on the order page for more information. Any character is fair game, so don't be afraid to request something specific!

Mini-book 2-pack

It's true... all week long, the two Sam and Fuzzy books are available in a special 2-pack for a 20% discount. If you still haven't taken the plunge into the world of Sam and Fuzzy in print, now is the perfect chance to catch up.

Each book contains a mix of classic fan-favourite strips and storylines, as well as several pages of exclusive Sam and Fuzzy and Skull Panda comics that aren't available online. And for those willing to pay a little extra, I would be happy -- nay, delighted -- to draw a sketch inside one or both of your books.

The two-pack is available until March 16th, which is this Sunday. Act accordingly, order appropriately, drink responsibly!

Watchmen

Did you see the costumes for the upcoming Watchmen movie adaption? I'm still pretty antsy about the film -- it's hard to feel good about it's prospects when Alan Moore himself doesn't, and as much as I loved Zack Synder's 300 adaption, it was about as far away from the tone of Watchemen as humanly possible. The original comic was a seminal work, and I think we all would rather see it left alone than made into a film that didn't live up to the book's legacy.

Still, it's pretty hard to argue with those Comedian and Rorschach mock-ups, isn't it? No matter what happens with the rest of the project, at least we can say that they got two things completely, utterly right.

Have a nice weekend, everyone... even if it is one hour shorter than usual!
