Interesting thing about Amon is that he fights verry similarly to Ba Gua (The martial arts air bending is based on)he also constantly wears a mask and gloves that would hide any air bending tats.

Also mother fucking Lin up in this shit.

I am quickly wishing the show focused on her adventures instead of Koras.

Asami is too obviously evil to actually be evil. Television has conditioned us to automatically assume the beautiful rich love rival is secretly evil (if not openly evil). The writers are probably using that to mess with our preconceived notions.

I wonder how permanent Amon's technique actually is. He doesn't seem to be spiritbending, because Aang's spiritbending was a crazy technicolor light show. It looks like he's just using a more advanced form of chi blocking. It clearly lasts longer than normal chi blocking, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's permanent. Maybe he's bluffing.

Does anyone else think it's weird that we're six episodes in, and Korra hasn't gone into the avatar state even once?

One theory I've seen for the spirit bending light show, when Aang did it we were seeing what he did, with his connection to the spirit world and all that we were seeing the spirits leaving the body and all that shit. But what we're seeing in Korra is what everyone else saw, they didn't have any spirit connection or anything so they just see him touch someone.

Interesting note though, there are two main chi points that aang touched to do his spirit bending, on the forhead and one in the centre of the ribs, Amon is only touching the forhead one.

I kind of really hope that Asami isn't evil, and that has nothing to do with me wanting Bolin and Kora to get together cause mako is an uninteresting fucker.

After rewatching all the episodes, I'm starting to think Yakone might be Amon. He was mentioned as an enemy of Aang, and every time Korra fights Amon, she has flashbacks of Aang fighting some unknown dude. He could have been a bender with photographic reflexes who learned spiritbending after Aang performed it on him. He needs to wear a mask because he used to be a famous criminal.
