In the 2007 movie adaptation of Northern Lights, the character Iofur Raknison's name was changed to Ragnar Sturlusson to prevent name confusion between him and Iorek Byrnison.
I am not confident that a series that spends much of its time wrestling with theological issues can be made by a team that has decided the audience is too stupid to tell the good polar bear from the evil polar bear.
Fuck. Just ... fuck.

There were three in the original series of movies, and then they started making a new series that was supposed to follow the book more closely or something like that.
It may well
be neverending.

There was a tv series too. I never watched it, but I remember seeing the name on my neverending quest to find something decent to watch on weekend afternoons.
Holy cow, it's Mix! I thought she was dead or something.

My goodness.
I just saw the ending to what was apparently Men in Black 2. When the hell did they make a second one? I should really start paying attention to commercials or something. Well, I should start watching television more often and then pay attention to commercials.

Don't bother. You'll hear everything you need on the Interwebs without all the mind-numbing idiocy! Plus, Men in Black 2 was terrible.

I saw Shoot'em Up and 3:10 to Yuma. Both were pretty good. Shoot'em Up was just ridiculous though. 98% action, 1% sex, and 1% cheesy one-liners. So in other words, the perfect movie..

I can't decide if I liked Yuma or not. I mean it was good and enjoyable, but I didn't come out of the theater thinking "Holy crap, that was awesome" like I did with Shootem Up. The biggest problems with the movie is that it's too long and some of the characters' motivations are explained poorly or not at all.

Robert Rodriguez is directing the Jetsons movie. Tell your friends.
(alternate post: dammit whatever happened to original franchises)

At first I was like "What, a Jetsons movie? Why?" and then I remembered, "Oh, yeah, Hollywood."

The worst part is that there was already a Jetsons movie. From back when people still remembered the Jetsons.

Well hopefully it is only based on the Jetsons and is really a post-apocalyptic war movie or something.
