As a New Yorker that scene annoyed me. Subway tracks to nowhere don't exist!

Neither do spiders that give you superpowers.

But they do in movieland!

Iron Man is way cooler than Spiderman anyway.

Of course, I said that about Ghost Rider. :omg:

By that logic Z, they wouldn't have to have anything make sense...which would be stupid.

Watched the Iron Man trailer. Ohmanohman. That looks like it is gonna be sweet! I enjoyed the choice of song too.

I bet one of my managers at work (who is one of the biggest geeks I know [both comics and music {metal}]) totally freaked when he saw that there trailer.

I rented some movies:
- 2001: A Space Odyssey -
Thus far this movie is very odd. It's absolutely amazing for something so old, though.
- Blade Runner -
I have not watched this yet.

Never seen past the part where the monkeys find the obelisk, myself.

Blade Runner is pretty good.

God I can't fucking stand that movie. ITS SO GOD DAMM BORING!

WE GET IT STANLEY KUBRIC! YOU CAN DO SOME SPIFFY SPECIAL EFFECTS! I DON'T WANT TO SPEND HALF A FUCKING HOUR WATCHING MONKEYS THROWING SHIT AT EACHOTHER FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER HOUR OF A DUDE WALKING!

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK!?!?!

I don't care if its suposed to be uber deep or whatever, I never even got up to HAL because it takes like an hour for ANYTHING to happen.

The Spiderman movies sucked, there I said it. Spiderman 1 was full of Power Rangers costume and fail. (William Dafoe has one of the most awsomley expressive faces ever and was perfect for the role, so they hid it behind a giant mask the entire movie? What hte hell!?) Tobey McGuire absolutly fails at being funny, hell he never even tries even though thats one of the fundamental thing about Spiderman. He also has absolutly no charisma at all. Aunt May irritated me, that said she wasn't much diffrent in the comics but she had occasional moments of kicking arse (Tricking Chameleon into thinking he just ate soup laced with Arsenic). When he slaped MJ down in number 3 I was the only person that shouted "HIT HER AGAIN!" Fucking dumb bitch.

Topher Grace in Spidey 3 was pretty fucking win though. Also J Jonah Jamerson was the best casting ever Serioulsy, fucking hell that dude NAILED it.

Iron man is most likley going to be awsome though if only because Robert Downey Jnr is ridiculously awsome.
The racist one.

Note: Comic Book movies are not good movies. Just because you enjoyed it, doesn't make it a good movie.

Totally agree. You could cut 45 minutes out of the second one and not lose a thing. Kirsten dunst adds nothing. And yes, as you pointed out, JJ is the best casting in that.

The Sam/Ted Raimi/Bruce Campbell combo is awesome though

If a movie is a form of entertianment, then shouldn't its worth be judged on how much it was enjoyed?

Not every move strives to be high art so its really unfair to judge all movies by that standard.

Also Road to Perdition, A History of Violence and Ghost World are all pretty good movies on there own without even having any knowledge of there Comic Book Herritidge.

Fox has announced that a live action Dragonball Z movie will be shot in Montreal, with a one-hundred million dollar budget (which is considerably more than a nine-thousand dollar budget). Between this, Evangelion, and Speed Racer, I can only imagine what American live-action adaptations of animes are going to come down the drainpipe in the next few years.

Tim Burton's "Witch Hunter Robin"

"Furi Kuri", starring Owen Wilson as Naota.

Bernie Mac in "Fullmetal Alchemist".

Live Action DBZ has to be the greatest idea for a film ever.
