What's that? A movie about the historical origin of vibrators?! Those kinds of vibrators?! And it's NOT a porn?! YES PLEASE!

Part 4

Hellraiser
Probably my fave since the first one. The Alan Smithiee credit is kind of undeserved. The Toymaker (Space version) was pretty rad. Pinhead was back to being an ominous fuck rather then a cheap slasher villain from part 3. The history of the box was interesting. The daemon chick seemed kind of superfluous to the entire story though. If it wasn't for the twins I'd say that entire middle section could be cut. But then we'd miss out on the twins and that was awesome. Probably my fave cenobite from the films. (And I'm sure that probably has something to do with me catching this film as a kid and the image of them getting twisted together being scarred in my mind)

Honestly I'd be satisfied with this as the end to the series. (Although I'm still curious about Leviathan from the second movie)

Friday the 13th
FUCK YEAH TITTIES! FUCK YEAH CRISPIN GLOVER! ... and corey feldman? I was fully prepared to hate Corey Feldman in this, and did for the most part. But fuckin' A he redeemed himself at the end. Great movie, lots of nice kills. Again the most fun movie of the night. Loved the dog who's main reaction was "Oh shit I'm out of here" jumps out a window and just dissapeares after Jason turns up. Smartest character in the movie. Followed... surprisingly by Corey Feldman. Who takes Jason down, then continues to wale on his head with a machette Fucking bout damn time.

Also holy shit that kill shot for Jason was hardcore.

Nightmare on Elm st
Redeemed itself after the last one but just barely. The karate dude was pretty bad in his complete inability to do anything resembling karate, and the working out chicks hair was hilarious. But Freddy showing up on a beach with sunnies and kicking the chick in the head as she tried to escape quicksand made up for anything wrong with the movie. Seriously if they'd included this in the last movie I would have forgiven it.

I mean... that is just amazing. The rest of it was good and all but fuck. Just look at that .gif

The next one you'll be watching is my personal favorite.

And then it all goes downhill from there.

Just finished watching Jason X, which finally gets me caught up on all the non-crossover Friday the 13th movies. I didn't find it as bad as people generally make it out to be. Still completely ri-fucking-diculous, of course, but not really any more so than any other entry in the series. I guess it helps that I was expecting something more along the lines of Leprechaun 4: In Space.

Now I just gotta get caught up with the rest of Nightmare on Elm Street and I can get on to Freddy Vs. Jason.

Then you can catch up on your Evil Dead trilogy so you can read the comic series Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash which is a real thing!

Spoiler: show

Well, in this particular case, "catching up" would actually be "watching and enjoying again for the millionth time". Image

Except for the first movie. It was crap. The bad kind of crap.

I know! Isn't that awesome? Image

Apparently it started out as an actual script for a movie sequel to Freddy vs. Jason, which would have been the greatest crossover in cinema history.

So with Veronica Mars finished, I needed a Kristen Bell fix:

When in Rome is not bad for a chick flick. The cameos were great. Was that Napolean Dynamite as the magician and Pedro as his assitant with the camera? also to Gob as the artist? HA!
As a romcom it got smiles, not LOLS, and was incredibly predictable, so I didn't care about the relationship, but it had plenty of Kristen so that gets the added point 2/5

Get Him to the Greek *sigh* I'll start by saying I hate Russell Brand. He's such a twat. So I cringed throughout most of the film. Too much Brand, too much vomit, not enough Sean Combs. Seriously the hope of more P Diddy is what made me finish the film. I also noticed it was an Apatow film as I recognised a few actors I've seen in his other work. So where's Kristen? She appeared in one scene :| funnily enough she played the role of Sarah Marshall. A moment referring to Apatows much better film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was a neat little tie in. Otherwise it was stupid and Combs is what made this bearable 1/5.

So I know I'm sorta late, but I just saw Tangled.
It was fucking incredible!

The animation and art direction was beautiful, and the characters were very well done. My only complaint is that they faded to black more often than necessary. But that's a minor complaint. Otherwise, I loved it.

Also, maybe I'm just crazy, but I think they got the time frame messed up at one point. I thought Rapunzel said to Eugene at the beginning "The lights in the sky will happen tomorrow." Then they leave, and the witch comes back at evening to check on Rapunzel. They adventure for another full day, then it's night again, then one more day until they launch the lanterns.

Watched The Jacket last night. If any of the following are something you might enjoy seeing, I recommend it:

-Keira Knightley's tits
-magical time traveling straightjackets
-Adrian Brody getting shot in the face
I'm not really working on anything at the moment, but here's a link to my tumblr anyway.
