So just finished the first of His Dark Materials.

Wow that ending was fucked up compared to the book.

Also just read Polaris in my HP Lovecraft Anthology, fuck I love me some Lovecraft.
The racist one.

has anyone here read the mass effect books? they're good, but they completely ignore the phenomenon of time dilation.

I can not get through The Hobbit. I've tried several times to read it, but I'm never in the mood. But I just reread a book (3 if you want to get technical) so it's not that I don't want to read.... I hate not being able to finish a fiction novel. GAH!!

*is frustrated*

Already half-way done with Half Blood Prince. My goal is to have the entire series finished in the next two weeks.

Two weeks? Your giving those books too much credit. You could be done in 2 days.

A couple of the people on this forum could be done in two hours.

I am a slow reader, for the most part. I mean, I'm not bad, but because I don't read often, I haven't ever really developed the skill to sit still for hours on end and read read read read read. Today, I read nearly 300 pages in total (I'm halfway done now), but in chunks. I'd read a few chapters, stop for a bit, read a few chapters, stop, and so on.
I'll probably be done with HBP in the next 24 hours, but Wednesday at the latest. If I really wanted, I could probably finish Deathly Hallows within a week, but I don't want to push myself. I'll take my time and enjoy it.

That being said, I'll probably finish well before two week's time.

Deathly Hallows is 600 pages of filler, then an awesome finale. I guarantee you'll forget everything except FUCK YEAH [SPOILER] YOU ARE SUCH A BADASS WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN.
I'm not really working on anything at the moment, but here's a link to my tumblr anyway.

You know, every time I decide I should read it, someone always makes a comment like that, and I keep putting it off. BUT NOT THIS TIME! I am resolved!

To get into Deathly Hallows you could start reading twilight or the painfully slow Dark Tower series.
