I bought pride and prejudice. I got about 60/80 pages in. It's ok if you like pride and prejudice, or can wade through vast chunks of pride and prejudice. I just gave up.

It's funny cause they think Wuthering Heights is any less trashy romance crap then Twilight is.

Ha, coincidence. A comic has persuaded you to read the book, and today I came across the comic version of A study in Scarlet in a big haul of Classics Illustrated I bought today. I'm fairly certain I read the original at some point in high school. A tenuous coincidence, but a coincidence none the less.
Also, Detective Conan is good stuff.

I just read books two and three of Dune. I'm going to try and read all the ones written by Frank Herbert.

I just finished Silverwing by Kenneth Opal, and I started Sunwing today. I remeber reading Silverwing in like elementary school, and it being a lot longer. Sunwing is turning out pretty interesting

I am very much enjoying the book. Although now a large chunk of the front cover is chewed off. It's hard to stay angry with the adorable puppy. Especially since it looks fitting.

I have not read pride and prejudice (non-zombie edition). I probably wouldn't, given all the other books I have in line. But the zombies (and ninjas) make it interesting to me. You get all of the same romance, drama, and society stuff that has made it a classic, but with violence added in for those of us without the patience for it.

I am certainly going to be reading Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters.

I love Public Domain.

I was under the impression that there was also an "Abraham Lincoln; Vampire Hunter" coming out some time soon...

These "rewriting classic literature by adding mythical creatures" books are getting close to overkill, if you ask me. Reading The Red Badge Of Courage for English course. I suppose it will eventually be remade to where the North and South are forced to team up in order to fight off Cthulu.

Sounds awesome, you should patent that idea.

Hmmm ... The Red Badge of Cthulu ... Yes! Gentlemen, it can be done!

And also:
The Sun Also Rises on Dracula
Of Mice And Men And Werewolves
Swamp Thing and Juliet
To Kill A Mockingbird With Garlic

My god ... we've stumbled upon a gold mine!

I had this discussion with friends today. Our results weren't as cool as your ideas, though, Joopac.

Our favorite ideas were Anne Frank; Diary of a Vampire
and Apollo 13; Werewolves in Space.

Werewolves in space would be pretty cool. The tagline could be: Where the moon is always full ...

That was actually a major plot arc in SCUD.
