That's what made them my favourite part of the series.
Pretty much half the reason why I'm trying to read the manga is because Kaworu gets to pilot one. And instead of a prog knife, it dual-wields giant chainsaws! How cool is that?

There was a limited run of the Revoltech one that, instead of wings, came with a Lance of Longinus and a couple of different heads. There was one with its mouth open, one with all of its teeth busted, one with those spike-things through its head, etcetera.

I have a Revoltech VF-1J.. i was utterly dissappointed.. I also have a Revoltech King Gainer and he is uber cool.. SO I'm undecided on the Revoltech line.. and if I ever get another one it'll be Yotsuba Summer Ver.

I like that Revoltech seems to not only make neato figures, but also understands what makes their subject matter so appealing. In example, the Gurren Lagann Revoltech comes with exactly two different facial expressions: determined and more determined.

I give them credit for all the extra bits and pieces.. Yamato's GNU-DOU line are pretty basic.. and really only tackle robots.. and I think this is my problem with Revoltech. The plastic they are made from is soft, and for a robot it just feels wrong.

If Yamato supplied more bits an pieces with their figures I'd buy them, because they feature obscure robots. But the cost $10 more than a Revoltech..

Revoltech are also doing the Street Fighter Online characters.. I'm waiting for E Honda. Also while browsing for Revoltech I found an alternate King Gainer:

However I also discovered that its a mail order exclusive for Dengenki Hobby and will be a combination of rare and expensive..

I always walk down the toy aisle when I'm at the shops. I can't help myself. The worst part is that I witness the next generation of youth as spoilt little bastards. Seriously just put your foot down and say no parents!..

Anyway, the good thing is that I often stumble across something good:

Yes, these are reissues of the much loved 80s Turtles celebrating 25th anniversary. They even dub the same card art. I was a stunned mullet. Perhaps now I can get a Shredder, which I never had as a kid.

Yeah I found all 4 turtles, Splinter and Rocksteady.. I'm gonna hunt around a look for some more.. I might get Casey too.

I should buy all of them and put them in an airtight archival box and forget about them for another 25 years then pop them on ebay.. KA-CHING!! $$$

I put a five dollar deposit down on Pokémon Platinum so I could get the Giratina figure.
I am worried that I am becoming a toy collector.

I also bought two Revoltechs and two Tezuka Moderno figures at Animaritime. Also on my shelf are last year's Revoltech and a mini Rolito boy.

I just caught a glimpse of the Perfect Grade Astray box.. and its immense size..

Image

It gets released on the 25th.. which was yesterday.. no word yet from HLJ.. I fear I will be on a plane on my way to america before I will get to touch it.. Which is probably the safest place for me to be knowing how my Mum will react :yuck:

Yeah, I was thinking about getting this, too. Wal-Mart is selling the special edition kit that's got the figurine, the game, and a carrying case for more-or-less the same cost of just buying the game so ... plus the figurine looked pretty sweet.

I finally found Blurr today. Since KayBee closed up shop, it's been hard to find Transformers. Wal-Mart just has 50 Swoops. I swear that fucking pterodactyl is everywhere.

Incidentally, while I'm posting in this thread, Eitl, what you you recommend for removing paint from model kits? I tried to touch one up a few years ago and kinda ruined it, but now I don't know how to get the paint off...
I'm not really working on anything at the moment, but here's a link to my tumblr anyway.
