I'm well more certain than that myself, but still! I had to go and say I like Rory, didn't I? I jinxed it! I doomed him with my foolish words!

Yeah I was starting to like Rory more than Amy. It's nice to have a male companion for the Doctor, and even nicer to have multiple companions.

Oh wow, spoiler tag would have been nice there -_-

Just saw the dream eppisode, one thing I noticed, in the pregnant world he had a blue bowtie instead of his usual maroon one, in the frozen tardis he had the maroon one, but at the end (didn't really get a good look) it looks like he has the dark blue one again.
The racist one.

The whole reason this thread was created was so we could stop using the spoiler tags.

Yeah if you're not up to the current episode, don't read this thread.

If it is, then it's possible she might have gotten it some other way. She might even be set to be engaged to someone else.

Plus, it seems kind of vague exactly how the whole "erased from time" thing works. It seems like events continue unfolding as if the person or people existed, so it seems more like they're erased from memory instead.

parts of that Doctor Who ending almost made me cry (good of them to put depression helpline at the end, cose it's van gogh).
You can tell it's an episode written by Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Blackadder etc) cose Bill Nighy popped in.

I've heard that a lot of folks don't like the new theme song . . . personally, I don't mind the music itself, but with this latest episode, I think I've figured out what I don't like, that being the electric crackle and thunder noises that run over it. Bleh.

Anywho! Vincent and the Doctor and alla that! Good stuff. Good story. If the ending wasn't so touching, I'd complain about how the action cut off so soon, but thankfully it is so touching.

I like the fellah playing van Gogh, Tony Curran. He did a mighty fine job. Funny that it's a bit of an Underworld reunion, too, what with him and Nighy. I was kinda wondering if they'd have a scene together or be completely separate like they were in the movies. And hey hey, Bill Nighy! Always like him no matter what. It's also neat to see him in Doctor Who since he was actually one of the candidates for playing the Doctor himself way back when.

I love the bits and pieces they've been gradually adding on to the translation bit. My favorite is still the subtle hint in Dalek that Statten didn't hear the Doctor speaking with a British accent, but Amy and Vincent both having the "same" accent is still pretty awesome.

And the way Vincent treated his own paintings was absolutely priceless. Though of course it shows that he has a low opinion of his own work due to other people being so down on it, having grown up with my mom the painter, I know quite well that that's just how a lot of painters treat a lot of their paintings. Unless my mom had some specific plan on what to do with a particular painting, it didn't seem to matter how good or bad it was . . . if she ran out of canvases and had a hankering to start a new project, she'd white one of them straight out and start all over again.

I kinda thought it might be the case that the Doctor still remembers Rory even though Amy doesn't (consciously, anyway), and the evidence continues to mount in this episode. Sweet.

Overall, it wasn't the best of the season thus far, but it was still pretty good.

I do agree it was a very good episode. I liked the use of athlete, but then I'm an athlete fan anyway. I also love that the doctor isn't just going around looking for the masters and wonders of science and the universe, but also art. It is very good.

thought van gogh would have treated his paintings better cose of the whole starving artist thing, though worked well for episode on the 'aahh no he's destroying a van gogh' edge. Got to watch this episode in HD this time. ooh lovely.
don't know much about it, but the actor/writing seemed to do well with acting bi polar depression and vincent as a person.

I don't know what was more disappointing the football game or that episode of Doctor Who.

What? I thought that episode was great. The Doctor trying to act like a normal person is hilarious.

yea but the plot sci fi wise was kinda blah. The headbutt was a bit too easy for an explanation, love saved the day didn't make much sense, why was the spaceship there and the 'if the doctor touches the button, it's the end of the solar system' came out of no where. But agreed, the doctor trying to act human was great.
