So Amon uses bloodbending to simulate energybending (in some way that is never fully explained) and then Korra changes everyone back to normal.

To me, it felt too easy. I would have preferred a bittersweet ending over the purely happy one we got.

I was totally unsurprised by the Amon reveal, since that exact scenario had been predicted on Reddit weeks ago. I think the general idea is that he does basically what the chi-blockers do, block off the chakras necessary for bending, but is able to do it in a more permanent manner with his blood bending by creating blood clots or something.

I am super annoyed by how Korra just learns air bending and the avatar state for no reason at the end though. They made a big deal about how she couldn't do it because of her personality and lack of spirituality, and she never really changed. So why did she all of the sudden learn to control the avatar state perfectly and was able to energybend.

It would have been a much better finale if it ended with her actually losing all her powers. Then she would have had some perspective on the whole anti-bending revolution thing, because she would know what it was like to not have any bending at all, and they could follow up on that next season. There's still a shit ton of people who are pissed off that they're effectively second-class citizens in the city and it's not like they're all gonna change they're minds now that Amon is dead.

Basically the only bit I didn't really like was the whole "LOL EVERYTHINGS BETTER!" ending. But I understand it, the season was originally written and produced with no second season intended, so they couldn't really leave it on a cliffhanger to explore in a second season because the show was basically finished before they knew they got one.

Also that boat scene man... just... man.

oh also, I hope to god we get more bumi next season.

I've found that I really don't give two shits about any of teh kids in this show but the adults are all pretty much awesome. Tenzin, Lin, Tarlock, Amon and Bumi's single line were all amazing.

Yeah I kinda agree. I actually think Korra and Mako are possibly the least interesting characters. My favorites are Tenzin, Lin, the airbender kids, Asami, and Bolin. I like Iroh a lot too, hopefully we see more of him (and Bumi) next year.
