New computer, because I finally gave up on getting the old one to stop freezing up all the time.

Edit: Silly power settings, why on earth would I want a desktop to shut down or go to sleep after thirty minutes of inactivity? Why would I want it to ever shut down on its own? How am I supposed to install TF2 if I can't leave it running all night?
Edit edit: Oh, come on. Screensaver, turn off display, sleep, hibernate, AND shutdown were all set at under 30 minutes? Do I need to set up one of those drinking birds to tap the space bar every two minutes or something? Wake up you lazy computer, you're here to work!

So I got a message from the sister of an old school friend asking if I can sketch something. I have to meet them Sat morning for brunch, their shout, when theyll tell me all the details. I hope they dont ask me to sketch them nude.. that would be awkward
So im at least going to get a tasty foccacia out of it then perhaps some commissioned work. Im excited.. and flattered that they think im good enough.

So turns out she wants me to sketch some interiors that incorporate products that her company sells.. WOW.. Time to step up to the plate Phil #nopressure

So I met with them and she showed me what she wanted, I did a sketch and she was happy with it.. so looks like I have a little side job. Nice.

On other news my friend bailed on the Shins so I had to offload a ticket, but im still going... solo.. first time to a big concert like this on my lonesome.. its weird.

Also another forum I frequent looks like its goinh to close. The admin have lost interest and are moving on.. theyve put it up for sale at $2500 and no one has that kind of money to pick it up.. so yeah thanks for all the fish I guess

So the Shins were pretty great.. however my experience was somewhat tainted. Seeing the Shins is such a take your girlfriend or best friend kind of show.. I had neither and was surrounded by those that did. Never felt so alone. *sigh* Im getting tired of this..

I'm glad you enjoyed the music aspect of the show, although it does suck that you had to go alone. Concerts of any band should be enjoyed in the company of at least one friend.

It seems like it's been forever since I've been on here. I apologize forum friends. When school is out and I'm back at home, the parents' Internet is a bit shoddy, so half the time I just say screw it and don't even use the computer for online purposes period (I use my phone to keep up with S&F and QC). Speaking of school, holy crap! I've got one semester left before I am a college graduate! I feel hilariously unprepared for "the real world."

I just back from two weeks at the beach yesterday. Family vacations will be family vacations; lots of sitting around and general loungitude. Still better than work, though!

Well, I've been spending most of my time working at a new job for the last couple months, so I've not really got a lot of interesting things to talk about. Unless you find museum data input, virtual tour software or photo collection digitization interesting. I mean, I find it interesting, but that's probably just me.
