I've had two opportunities. The first time we (my girlfriend at the time and I) talked it over and decided that we didn't want to grow up just yet. I'm weird like that.

The other time the girl was really really hammered. She handed me a condom and asked if I was up for it. Then she threw up like a minute later. I found her friends and they took her home before she did something really stupid.

Does anybody else have non-lust based drives for sex?

When I see a hot girl, it's not "man, I want to have sex with her", it's "man, she's cute. Getting her to go out with me would be a real accomplishment." Kinda like completing side-quests in an MMORPG.

I have a sex drive, somewhere, but it really takes a back seat to the side-quest completion and stat-building aspects of dating, relationships, and sexuality.

I'm going to hell.

For me it's like "she's attractive" and then I create an imaginary persona to fit her character in my head, and imagine what it would be like to be friends. And she goes on her way, none the wiser.

After reading these posts, my suspicion that we are all in fact the same person with multiple personality disorder deepens. I do both of the things you guys said (Jack and Pie). I also find that how attractive a person is to me is largely based on their perceived intelligence. Really stupid people I have absolutely no interest in at all, no matter how good looking they are.

See that's one of the thing that helped me realize I was gay.
I would see a hot girl and go "hmmm we should got shopping, we could try on OUTFITS!" not "oh man she's hot I want to have sex/a relationship/hot sloppy drunken makeouts with her!

I think I may be asexual. Or something. I've considered that I could be gay, but I'm not into guys. Although I do like the relationship thing and the sloppy make-out thing, I have comparatively little interest in sex and I have a terrible sense of "hot". I can't reconcile the idea of being straight (or gay), and the way my mind works.

It's really the challenge and the love, I think. And that's enough for me.

Eh, generally if I see a girl the first thing to cross my head is a gauge of how attractive I find her. I don't generally do it on purpose and I don't realize I'm doing it sometimes, but you do it. In general I'd say most people "stack up" others they meet, just depends what sort of values you're looking for. The personality part of all this comes a really close second and both looks and personality are equally important I'd say.

For what it's worth, still a virgin and to be honest? Not really interested in dating right now. My life's a mess and I can't even make a commitment for myself, I don't see how I could make one to someone else.

That and no one I've met strikes me as the type of girl I'd like to date. Call me picky but no one seems to have the "right combination" so to speak. The only people who do I've been good friends with for so long that dating them would probably be a bit like dating my sister.
