You guys realise that Al Queda doesn't exist right? There's no centralised terrorist network run by osama bin laden. There are lots of little small ones that are completly unrelated.

The only reason America jumped on the Al Queda thing was to work through a weird legal loop hole to prosecute Osama Bin Laden that it needed to be a criminal orginisation or something.

Yeah, this is obviously just one step in solving the problem. It's not over.
I mean, it's not like many people live with a crippling fear that any day, Bin Laden would strike again. It's not like the Red Scare during the Cold War when everyone expected the world to blow up. Bin Laden, while certainly not a man to write off as incapable of doing us harm, never seemed to be anywhere near the level of Hitler or Stalin. Again, it's great that we killed him, but I'm not sure how much his death will affect the world. I guess it's all about al Queda's reaction to his death...

I bet Bush is pissed though. Spent all that time trying to find Bin Laden, but Obama gets credit for his defeat.

I was talking with my friends today about this; what do you think the soldiers who shot Bin Laden listened to in the helicopter on their way back to the states after completing the mission. They've just killed public enemy number one; how do you set the mood after that?

Again Al Queda don't exist, there's no centralized network of terror organizations headed by Bin Laden, it's just a catch all term to refer to many many unrelated terror cells all lead by different people.
