this is nnot bad actually especially for a first timer like you, you do know how to work yourself around the programs you use to render 3d. i think that you have the skill for this so if you plan to make more projecs it will hone your skill more and in no time you will be able to do such great work. hope you keep us posted with you works!

I did anther animation pass. Really not happy with the cammera I'm going to try and get it redone but my 3d Max has currently shat out on me so at the moment I'm playing around with post processing effects

Final Model with some added details, added the bag, fixed up proportions and did the ropes around his shoes.
I finished unwrapping him last night so now it's just on to texturing.
