School of Rock was excellent.

Jack Black is outstanding.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iofur_Raknison
In the 2007 movie adaptation of Northern Lights, the character Iofur Raknison's name was changed to Ragnar Sturlusson to prevent name confusion between him and Iorek Byrnison.
I am not confident that a series that spends much of its time wrestling with theological issues can be made by a team that has decided the audience is too stupid to tell the good polar bear from the evil polar bear.
If I am here every day, I'm just some guy. If I am only here when I'm needed, I am legendary.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

If people can tell Sauron from Sauroman in the Lord of the Rings, surely they can tell two polar bears apart.

Some people can't, sadly.

Working in a movie theater has taught me that most people don't even know the name of the movie they're going to watch straight, much less the names of the characters actually in it.

Don't get me wrong I loved School of Rock and King Kong (It holds my favorite fight scene of all time don't-cha-know!). It's just him as a person, I think he's icky. :yuck:

Is it bad I don't know who Jack Black is? I've never heard of School of Rock, either.

Jack Black is Nacho Libre, one-half of Tenacious D, the bully from Neverending Story 3, Shallow Hal, etc.

There was a third Neverending Story? And for that matter, there was a second? My word.

I've never heard of any of those movies either. Bah, I feel so ill-informed. :(

Yeah, you'd think they'd only need one, considering the title.

On the other hand, considering the title you'd think there would be more sequels.
