There is no reason we can't build one.

As soon as I saw that I heard the battle music in my head.
It is imperative that you read Cal Neuvost's Treatises of Extraordinary Consequence.
Once I sailed out to sea,
I cried: "I must be free!" And yet,
Full was I with regret
When surf cried back with wet decree.

I really really wish we had airships. Planes don't count. It needs to actually look like a ship. Optimally it would also be able to land on water and sail around (like in Stardust). It also needs to be able to stand still in the air, and not have to be constantly moving like planes do.

You guys understand that blimp is just another word for airship, right?

But blimps don't have decks where you can stand and pretend to be a pirate.

I'm sure one could construct a zeppelin with a pirate deck and whatnot.

They just tend to have cabins, 'cause of wind. And cold.

People just need to suck it up and make do with goggles and jackets, and everything would look that much cooler.
