I have a friend who at very least had Multimedia Fusion. If he still does, I can get you a CD Key. I also have the serial for Games Factory on a notepad document somewhere on my hard drive if you wanted that, too.

As for things found in a city, modern art sculptures.

He doesn't have a phone atm, though, so I can only contact him when he feels the need to talk to me and has the payphone fare to do so.

It'll be like two weeks at least.

My first thought was a marching band, even though I have never ever seen one.

This would be a good group project, though. If anyone else has any programming knowledge or can get me a bootleg copy of multimedia fusion or whatsuch, it would be cool if you wanted to help. Or even just help me with random topics like...
"WHAT CAN BE FOUND IN A CITY?"(for background details)

I can learn how to program, because if making games are what you want to do, I'm game (excuse me).

As for, what can be found in a city, it depends on what PART of the city you are talking about. For now I'm going to assume commercial and CBD, as well as urban residential areas. Which can include assorted vehicles and greenery of varying degrees among those already mentioned by CB45. Then there are the buildings themselves, which all serve some sort of function. Places to dine, to relax, to be entertained, various shops and boutiques catering to the masses as well as the niches of consumers. Or you can save yourself the trouble and buy/rent/warez Sim City Societies, I hear its good for creating cities.

Actually a marching band would work incredibly well with want I'm doing
Spoiler: show

I have a basic idea of what I want the main "gimmick" to be, but I don't want to say it just yet because I'm still fiddling with how I can use it.

I have done about three or four big pages of concept art for this thus far, and these are my favourite pieces. The shirt design is just something I have to use somewhere; and as for the headphones, it's nice to go to FINAL FANTASY levels of impracticality and detail in character equipment sometimes. My favourite detail in a character is that the third guy has a zipper pull in his lip piercing. I have since come up with a name for the main character, but haven't written it in. I think I'm going to call him "Ray".

As for actual spritework:

I can't do a lot because I'm still downloading MMF2 (thanks, Kelso!), but I wanted to do this. Guess what they are before hitting the spoiler.
Spoiler: show
They're animations for "?" and "!" emoticons.

I just wna to make sure that they're interpreted easily enough despite their size and style. They might be easier to get in context, but I'd like to test anyway.

And incidentally:
Remix of Ray's theme (I like this version better than the original)
The next guy's theme
The third guy's theme is most likely going to be a Birthday Massacre song.
If I am here every day, I'm just some guy. If I am only here when I'm needed, I am legendary.

Has a nice Megaman influence in the character design. Well it does to me.

I don't think the question mark and exclamation mark are that obvious, hell I thought the question mark was just supposed to be an arrow pointing down in an odd way.

I suggest making the question mark less thick at the top, it gives too much purpose to the arrow and takes away from the intent.

As for the exclamation mark, I think if you did it like you have it on the left side, where it's pointing down instead of going up (and getting smaller at the top), it would look better.

The character designs are really great and I think that a few tweaks (like on Quixote, she looks...bloated) they'd all be awesome.

It's simple as that, it's simple as that, it's simple as that for your stupid ass.

(I still don't see what's wrong with Quixote though. I thought she looked okay. I was glad I managed to avoid Rob Liefeld syndrome when designing her :\)

Question mark is better, I guess there's not much wrong with Quixote except it just looks like she's awkwardly pushing her belly out, and without saying she should be skinnier, her pose DOES feel a bit awkward, but that could just be me. But then again that's probably a lot just because you draw like that...hm.

Quixote's left leg thins out incredibly fast.
