Pixar movies basicly care more about every aspect of there films, they have some of the best people in every field, fantastic charecter designers, writers, animators, set designers, directors etc.
It can pretty easily be summed up in looking at the time between shreks and the time between new pixar movies. They spend so much more time on every aspect.
