I loved the Incredibles. I thought it was fantastic.

I didn't care for Finding Nemo so much. The best part were the stellar water effects.

Incredibles was a good movie, and I have to agree with Leet on Finding Nemo... water effects were great, but best part to me was the turtles.

Nemo was decent, but it lacked the creative concept that drove some of the better Pixar movies:

Monsters inc: Fucking Monsters, man. No limit to what they could do there.

Toy Story: Worked within the limits of their tech at the time, while still allowing the flexibility to creat unique characters visually, and plus, who hasn't had the cowboys vs. spacemen debate?

Incredibles: Superheros! As family, well written characters, outlandish powers and physiques. What's not to like?

Nemo: Fish. Lots of fish. one of them is lost.

Cars: How much can you limit yourself? I mean, come on, the art dirction in that movie was based around a single cartoon: The baby taxi that wanted to be a race car [you know the one. His father wanted him to be a taxi]. Top that with how limited the animation could be as a result, and what do you get? sheesh.

Bugs Life: Decent, but I have the same problem with this as Nemo, it's concept limited them.

Ratatoulie: Haven't seen it yet, but I really want to. I'll probably have the same problems with it that I did with Nemo and Bug's life, but still.

I'd like to see a sequel to Monster's Inc directed by Brad Bird [though I don't see that happening]. As much as I love the incredibles, I don't think it really needs a follow up. There's no way to top it.

Concepts that could make a great pixar film? I really don't know? It's hard to top monsters and super heros. They could do Aliens, but that'd be redundant of monsters.

I think the next pixar movie is about some robot. That's probably limiting, too, but I guess they've exhausted all the cool things...

What's coming next.
It is imperative that you read Cal Neuvost's Treatises of Extraordinary Consequence.

I cried: "I must be free!" And yet,
Full was I with regret
When surf cried back with wet decree.

I'm too simple minded to argue, but I hated Finding Nemo. The Incredibles was stellar, and Ratatouille was interesting.

See I don't think the fact that there art style is limited by there subject has anything to do with why they wern't as good, the writing while good just wasn't up there. Rataoulie, The Incredibles, Monsters inc etc the ones I liked had charecters I could empathise with, I just didn't give a shit about anyone in Nemo for example though.

I liked the characters in A Bug's Life, and Toy Story. I didn't think the characters in Incredibles were very well written.

The existence of the 'soul' is a fabrication perpetuated by the running shoe industry to make you feel better about wearing their footwear. All you believe is a lie, leet!

"Gender" is a conspiracy created by the government in order to sell twice as many pharmaceuticals.

All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

See, the thing with The Incredibles is that the idea of "superheroes!" was a great one. So was the retro art direction, the jazz score, and the story.

The problem? They're the God Damn Fantastic Four. Hell, the similarities between Syndrome and Doom are startling, too. Everything about the Incredibles is perfect because Jack Kirby came up with it 60 years ago.
