No. It really isn't. If you want to make the argument, say that secular empirical-realism is a religion, but certainly on evolution.

Evolution is neat. I'm glad god invented it as a way to keep earth interesting.

The Vatican isn't religion.. Its a secret society/government, which uses religion as a tool.

It's interesting to see that the Church is just coming out like this and saying, "Hey, this can all work together. Atheistic scientists and religious folk don't have to be dicks to one another anymore."
