Removing paint??! Dunno.. I've only painted one kit (all the black, silver and clear orange) and done panel lines on another..

But I suppose it depends on the paint you used.. I think. Perhaps thinners. Sorry I'm not much help..

Yeah these Sentai (power ranger) candy toy kits are my new joy.. I've got all the Zords from this Geki Ranger series (Jungle Fury?), but I've only painted GekiTouja.

I haven't seen the Go-onger series yet, Its on queue for download.. but I want to get the candy toy kits of the zords. The 2009 series has recently started: Samurai Shinkenger, so I'll wait for the all of them to be released and then I get a bulk lot of yummy kits :D

They are awesome. I'd wear those.. perhaps not with the extra blocks attached, but yeah. Swanky.

Also my Perfect Grade Astray did arrive the day after I left. But now I'm back its all good. The box is massive and will be taking photos of my progress. It is going to be a long project.

Surprisingly it didn't take as long as I thought it would. Probably about 8hrs in total, on and off spread over 2ish weeks.

These are just rush photos, as I only finished it a couple hours ago. I'll take better ones later, once I get a battery for its head, plus construct the extra kit, which consists of another gorgeous katana (it has the 'tang' painted on it!) plus the clear armour parts. Also I'll put up comparison pics to show the contrast against the SD Astray

He's pretty big and he's found a welcoming space amongst my larger combiner chogokins. In fact he's taller than them all except for Ideon which he's on par with and thats only because Ideon has these really tall shoulders.

In other toy news, I just preodered the newest SOC to be coming out: Big O. Major wowsers in my trouser for this one.

Also, in sadder new, I just missed out on getting the Shinkenger and Go-onger sentai candy toy sets on ebay :( One minute they were there, the next SOLD! I'm sure they'll be up again, but I knew I should have bought them when I saw the complete sets all together. They also have the Boukenger set up, which is the first I've seen them, but I'll wait for the other sets to appear again. Otherwise it costs too much in postage. He has 6 sets available, so I have some time to spare. But I'll buy if I see the number diminish over the following days. Also the seller often has sales, about 10-15% off, so if that comes along aswell my patience will be well deserved.

I'm aware it's a chinese knock off that misses the point of both franchises, I'm aware that the quality of the toy is probbably horrible, and despite this.

Despite these facts, this....

That is pretty epic. I kind of want one.

Does he have a sword on his back? It kind of looks like it.

As a person who grew up watching Shining Time Station and still has dozens of Thomas the Tank Engine toys, that picture gets me tremendously excited!

DUDE! That tomas bootleg awesomeness.. I have no liking of tomas, but just the sheer awesomeness that it is, I want one.

Also my collection of sentai candy toy mecha has greatly expanded since last. I've also painted two more aswell. I can't get enough of them. I'm trying to dig around ebay looking for some of the earlier kits. I've even picked up 2 limited run gold sets.

There's one of the gold ones and the guy next to him I have in gold as well. They both from Boukenger. The blue guy: Daigaiyou, is from the Samurai Shinkenger series and is the other one I've painted. I should take a pic of him. I'm quite proud of how he turned out. Then there's IkaDaikaiyou behind him. I want to paint him next I think. I've already started on Ika (the white part, which is a squid). The little guy in the corner is Kamen Rider Faiz. He's the first issue in a new line of super deformed toys called Deforider by Megahouse.

They have Ryuki, Faiz 555 and Decade out aswell.. I need to get them next time I put in an order.

DOUBLE also here's my birthday present to myself:
ImageImage
'Grey Ghost Mongolion' sculpt by L'amour Supreme & Cosmo Liquid, adopted through Super7.
He's clear grey vinyl with a GID fill.. he's bout 5" tall and looks epic in the dark.
