Now that I've started on the holmes series I'm totally picking up on a lot of references to doyle's books in detective conan. For instance, Rachel's first name is probably a reference to the false interpretation of the writing on the wall in a study in scarlet. The sly references are another reason I love funimation.

Just finished Carrie, Stephen King's first novel.

Quite enjoyed it. Goes a lot more in depth about Carrie and her mother's past, telekinesis in general, and the aftermath of her rampage than the famous movie which was based on said book.

If one is a fan of suspense or the horror genres, I'd suggest giving it a read. It's a short book (at 253 pages, it's one of King's shortest books; they usually pull in at around 700), and it keeps you glued in from start to finish.
