WITH SOME NEW STUFF IN IT!

These are a few little things I've been working on when I have a spare moment or two at work. Hopefully I get around to drawing these up properly on the computer and make them look a bit better.




And the one I made today..


The Angry Squidy was made, just because I had an idea and I like squid. The whale one came from the whole thing with the batboat running into the japanese whaling ship.. and the frozen tuna came to me when I saw a story about popular species being fished out. So they've started becoming topical, but I have an Angler Fish one in my head which is related to nothing, but is the likely next project.

I like to dabble in a bit of photoshop from time to time and its times like these when a strike of comedic gold hits me that I create some awesome stuff.
Enter 'Hellz Yeah! Phil'. He's awesome because its me, put in a situation I would not be in, saying "Hellz Yeah!"

It started when I heard about Japan's Miss Universe contestant, wearing a controversial kimono 'dress' thing..

I could do this.. supply a cutout that is.. What format would it need to be in to save the transparency.. PNG? Or just supply the cutout within a PSD.. Hrmm

Anyway, I mentioned the below project briefly on IRC on Friday.. I just completed it:


This was supposed to be a valentines gift to a dear interstate friend of mine.. She took me to my first game of soccer and it was to be a thanks. However, I did things at the last minute as always and I printed it out on really thick paper.. I couldn't bend the card properly and it was a well right disaster. So I scrapped it and had to apologised to her.
I'm seeing her again today (this time we going to the rugby league ) but this time I printed it out on a couple grades thinner paper.

Never shall I make this guy again.. The way I designed how to join the piece that bends around the sponge part was horrible.. The paper bent no problem & I managed to do it but by golly it was frustrating.. Also the hands are pretty weak.. I fear the fingers will bend and tear off if accidently handled roughly.. There is already a bend on the pinkie of the left hand.. Also it is hollow and being a thinner paper it felt like it would implode if handled.. so I fixed up a box made out of card and slipped it inside.. It now feels pretty rigid and solid... I will be spammed for those last few words...

Also I made this guy during work..

He's awesome.. so tiny and he flies like a dream.. He glides effortlessly until he runs out of momentum and then like a bird shot out of the sky, he kamikazes to the ground.. epic..

Wasist Walrus!

This all came about after an evening of sushi with some friends. My mate stuck the chop sticks up his gums and photos were taken. It then came up in conversation that I'm not a fan of lots of wasabi or watermelon, and my mate said I was rasist to things starting with 'W'.. and then I blurted out WASIST WALRUS! High fives were then had.. also the sushi chef put a lot of wasabi on some of his pieces and it was instant water works.. hence the water spurting out my eyes.. I wanted to colour in the eye brows, but if I did that I would have lost them..
