I have a decision to make!

Should I get Red Dead Redemption or Lost Planet 2? I've never played any of the predecessors to these games so I don't really know what I'm in for. They both seem to offer similar game-play but Redemption focuses on the open-world stuff. Lost Planet 2 has a split-screen co-op which is nice and I've just checked on Redemption, seems like there will be a free co-op DLC.

Anyway, any of you buy these games? Thoughts? Suggestions...

Well, I've played the Lost Planet stuff, so I know how that plays. There is no Redemption demo so I don't know how that runs and the predecessor is PS2 territory. I've heard so many good things about Redemption though! Lost Planet is so pretty! What do I dooooooo

I think I'm just gonna get Redemption. Lost Planet 2 looks cool and all but I've heard it's really co-op heavy and I'm not sure I'll have time for that kind of thing.

Been playing Redemption all weekend and it's pretty fucking fantastic. So I'd go with that.

so I just beat the single player storyline in RDR, and it's seriously one of the best games I've ever played.

Eeeeessssshhhhhhhh, Red Dead glitches so hard. It's really starting to cut into the experience, I've had three issues with loading screens so far. Not sure the cause but it seems like just a bit more polish in the coding would have helped.
