Yeah I've been thinking about this. I did a contiki trip across state. It wasn't the most direct route but it did take a month. I can plan for that, but it might be impossible for some.

I did Ottawa to Vancouver in 6 days, about 7 or 8 hours driving a day. A flight from Ottawa to Vancouver ends up pretty cheap, not sure if it would work out better to get a bus from NY into Canada then fly out of there, or just straight from NY.

All I know is I'll never take a train from Ontario to B.C. again. Seven days on a train, no matter how nice the sleeper cabin, was downright excruciating.

Man you can drive from one end of my country to the other in like a day, all this driving for a week business is ridiculous. You should all come here and visit the fucking Shire or whatevs.
