The "let's show these people something new," is that from something?

Heroman was pretty good.
Spoiler: show
I like how Joey went beserk, like heroman did at the end of the first wave of the skrugg. It was very reminiscent of FLCL. Shame he didn't evolve into a higher form, instead there was just this stupid 'o spark' thing which Heroman learnt a handful of episodes ago.. The story is a bit eh when everything is over exaggerated, but its entertaining enough to watch the second season. If there is one..

Also Panty & Stocking with Gaterbelt is seriously weird.

It's highly doubtful. Heroman tanked HARD in ratings over in Japan. It is getting dubbed, so if it pulls mind-blowing ratings over here we might get a Big O style comeback, but you'll need all 10 fingers crossed for a miracle like that, mostly because Heroman is no Big O.

I've bought Big O and still haven't watched it. I will do this now Heroman has ended.
Yeah it doesn't seem like it would appeal to the JDM.. A big question mark was the last thing you saw so it is up in the air. I'm not fussed. Seriously they could have fleshed things out a bit. Heroman was the same as he was at the beginning. And how he was learning new commands throughout the series I was expecting like an epic Gurren Lagann ending.. Oh well.

I just watched Summer Wars. GO WATCH IT NOW.

It was recently screened at the anime film festival the Dendy cinemas here put on. I managed to catch Redline, but missed Summer Wars. Its really charming and full of hope. I don't want to reveal too much about it.. but a very brief gist of it is its about this family and this virtual world which gets corrupt... Make sure you pay extra attention to the 3 kids in it. HILARIOUS. 4/5

From the article, I take it this tv version is a more elaborate one than the mini OVA SD flash animations that came out earlier this year. The core concept amuses me, so I'll look forward to it.

So has anyone seen "5 centimetres per second"? It could well be the most beautiful anime I've seen. It is gorgeous.

I have kind of an unjustified hate for the movie based on the price comparison threads on 4chan, despite that I've never actually seen it.
