So london was chaos today, Police and students injured, police charging kids on horses. When other cuts go through going to be more protests and likely industrial strikes. last time this happened in the 80s trains didn't move and piles of rubbish on the streets.

Protests continuing because bill went through and tuition fee's going up to £6,000 -£9,000 was about £3,000 before. EMA also gone it supplied poor students (me in the past) £30 to cover college and uni costs. it was great and got loads of poor students into higher education.

biggest story Prince Charles and Camillia car was attacked and government buildings windows were smashed.

You expect this from the Conservatives but the Liberal Democrats in coalition are screwed, mainly cose of the stupidity of posing with promises before the election.

I don't get why people are worried. It's not like gay people everywhere are going to join the military and start acting really flamboyantly. Besides, if they want to serve their country, let them.

I don't think people are worried. I think its the case of one too many homophobic generals or something that haven't adapted to the times and think being gay is wrong and witches should be burned at the cross. They're probably disgruntle about the fact that women are in the service too.

Agreed. They were complaining that enlistment in the army was declining anyway, so why not stop turning away perfectly willing and capable soldiers just because of sexual preference?
