I learned today that I may be part Huancavilca.

I was reminded today that people can be complete and total fuckwits. The roads here are a sheet of ice covered with a layer of snow, and some asshat decided to blaze through a red light without even slowing down. Thank god I was taking my time because of the weather; if I had gotten a proper start when the light turned green, he would have crashed into my side at fifty miles an hour.

I'd rather be in a big metal box than walking on the footpath.. you know exposed to the elements and other crazy people in other big metal boxes.

I learned tonight that friends aren't always friends.

I asked a mate if he would want to go see Caribou a couple months ago. He said, 'can't afford it'.. I didn't have anyone else that wanted to go, so I didn't buy a ticket. As of 25min ago he updates his location on facebook to being at the Caribou gig..

What a douche.. :x

On monday, I learned that we have a pub down the road, on whose site someone has been selling alcohol from 1762. That's longer than the US has been an independent country.

Today I learned that a kind of ant in australia have a smarter air conditioning system than most modern skyscrapers.

They build their homes in stacks, looking like minature skyscrapers, causing large shadows beind them. They make holes in the top of the stacks and in the ground in the shaded area. As hot air rises, the hot air leaves the top of the stack, sucking in air from the shaded area, which has cooled air. This creates a passive air conditioning system, for free, that cools their air by 20 degrees C or so.
