Flareon is slow without the bulk to give it survivability, it has one of the most shallow move-pools in the entire game, and the moves it does get are counter intuitive to its base spread. It has 130 base attack, which is great, but its strongest physical STAB is Fire Fang. The strongest move in Flareon's entire arsenal is Last Resort.

This isn't even bringing into account the fact that it's a pure Fire type, which are weak to both Ground and Rock, two of the most popular offensive types. Earthquake and Stone Edge, Flareon's dead in the water. It's like Emboar if you took away the already few good things about Emboar.

Oh.

I generally just pick my Pokemon based on which ones I think look the coolest.

That's what I always do. I don't play competitively, so I have no need to be the best.

Haha. Wow, I didn't even see that when I wrote it...

I was playing my Leaf Green Nuzlocke challenge and lost my Samuel the Weepinbel during a fight with Gary.
CURSE YOU GARY!
I don't have any other grass Pokemon, somehow... But I caught a Voltorb so I can handle water Pokemon.

So my roommate and I are battling again on Sunday. Currently our record is 3/4 me. This is the first fight after we've both beat the Elite Four.

For the first time I took to breeding and created a genetic monstrosity of a Gliscor with 31 IVs in both Defense and HP. This bastard can survive anything. I'm so pleased with the results (only thing I don't like is that it took all damn day to make) that I'm breeding Larvesta in pretty much the same way.
Tell me a story baby.
I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!

Caught Virizion. Its IVs include 28 HP, 26 Def, 25 SpAtk, and 26 SpDef. It has a +Atk nature.

This thing tears holes through teams. It swept the Subway Boss.

I've finally picked up Pocket Monsters: Caucasian. The beginning isn't as breezy as I'd thought. It's more automated/on rails. That's mostly a good thing, but I wish they'd give you the running shoes earlier. Why do I need to wait for 'em?! Really?

The game looks good, but the video calls seem weird to me. Why are you going to transform me into a sprite that I can more easily identify myself with if you're going to put a giant picture of some white hipster kid right in front of me like that?

I finished off the first Gym. I picked Oshawott so I got a Pansear. I've also got 2 Purrloins (The male I named Reggie) and a Lillipup (because the game made me).

I got the Caucasian version too! I am at around the same place as well. How strange. I got a munna and hope to evolve it to get rid of the stupid flowers on its back, otherwise I think that family of pokemon's theme of dream manipulation is awesome. And holy crap is this game like super-ultra kid friendly. They explain everything overly well.

So far, I am incredibly disappointed at the Team Plasma sub-plot. I thought they were gonna give them a grey-ish reason for thieving pokemon, but so far the grunts are just so ridiculously evil and hypocritical that its irritating. You spew all this liberating pokemon silliness about trainers just using pokemon and then start kicking a harmless pokemon to get it to spew dream mist to fuck with people's heads? REALLY? Way to ruin an interesting plot point with with bad writing for children. Ugh.
