What You Learned Today

Everyone likes to talk about themselves! Do it here so I don't have to read it. Ha ha! Just kidding. I'm actually illiterate.

It's really, really nice to be able to sleep with a girl. No sex, no romance. Just cuddles and sleep. :cat:

And then remembering how lonely your own bed can be when she goes home. :(

I'm glad I have cool lady friends, though, who can separate snuggles from sexuality like this. Life is okay.

Today I learned that traveling from Michigan to California costs between $100 and $200 more to travel by plane than it does to travel by bus or train... but it cuts two and a half days off of the travel time, in each direction. So while going to Cali for a week by bus actually takes almost two weeks, going to Cali for a week by plane takes one week and eight hours. Holy crap.

In each direction, so 14-2.5-2.5= 9 = 7 and a bit

Also, that is ridiculous...

Yup. A week in Cali by ground takes a total of 12 days. Too damned long, if you ask me... and if you ask my employer, from whom I would be asking for time off.

So unsuprisingly we have a library on campus at my uni. There was an extension done a few years back, and apparently they had to stop work for a while because they found burried in the ground an old WW2 submarine engine that was used as a power supply in the war. How's that for odd.

That's awesome. I love how we just bury stuff.

Quite possibly the least subtle spambot of all time. Gotta admire his honesty, though.

Today I learned that I might get a hotel room all to myself at ACEN this year. I have also learned that, if this is the case, at least one woman is willing to join me for drinks and movies in the hotel after the official ACEN festivities.

It is at this point that I am obligated to ask, "What could possibly go wrong?"
