Oh there is that awful fireball throwing guy near there.. I think its a quest to get the Nettlebane? The place is called oat or oak something.

I lost count of the dragons you fought, but detect life would be handy.. So would fireball. Seriously it makes the same punch as a hit from a warrior with a battle axe or warhammer.

Nah the nettelebane quest with the fireball throwing guy is in a different area. Got fucked up hard by that. The only issue I had is all the fucking random dragons and getting lost finding it. The only guys their are a bunch of random bandits who go down like chumps.

I know right. You've got those damn witches to take care of too, which is easy enough, but yeah I'm going to need some awesome fire resist armour to defeat him I think.. Or perhaps rush him into close combat.. He wouldn't use fireball in close quarters surely.. But knowing my luck he's armed with a warhammer :|

I have so many sidequests its kind of overwhelming, and if you complete one you get 10 new ones.
I'm up to stealing Sibbi's stash from the manor near Riften.. I did it once by accidentally walking right up to the place not noticing the mercenary guards.. I killed them all, but then thought that probably wasn't wise as the house is owned by my employer.. So I'm going to do it again and sneak in.

it's a weird little harpy thing that's shooting the fireballs, no warhammer but will hit you with em point blank. My plan is to go back their and stealth assassinate the shit out of them.

Of course Skyrims going on hold cause MOTHER FUCKING ASSASSINS CREED TODAY!

C'mon internet, the game has been out for four days. How is it that neither gamefaqs nor any wiki has an alchemy recipe list up yet? A strategy guide was available for sale on day one, has the internet outgrown plagiarism even?

BEHOLD! Almighty Dean, the dark elf! I am thinking I will become some sort of magic wielding dashing thief-vagabond.

We're too busy playing the game..
As for alchemy, if you have lots of something, eat one and you'll discover a use for it. Mash a few similar ones together and BAM! Potion! Come to think of it i've eaten a lot of weird shit.

I wish you could analyse potions like you can disenchant items.

We should upload pics of our characters..

So I talked to Gerud or whatever, and she gave me a key to her house. I walk into her house, and that Hob guy just attacks me out of nowhere. :/

Also how do you guys level sneak? I'm having a bit of trouble, people keep seeing me.

You level sneak by sneaking when there's people around. It'll come along naturally, but if you want an easy bump early on, just try and sneak back and forth in a room where someone is sleeping. You don't need to be very close to them or anything, just moving around while crouched.

Turns out the giants and mammoths west of Whiterun can't fit under the arches of the stone bridge nearby. I only found out because a Frost Dragon showed up and decided the mammoths were more interesting than me. While they kick and clubbed the dragon, I sniped it down from range. Of course, then I had to run into the middle of them to loot the dragon. In my mad dash for safety, I found myself corned under the bridge, but since they couldn't reach me, I just pumped about a hundred arrows into them all until the job was done.

Today in Skyrim I fast travelled to a small village.. and the first thing a local woman said was "You're as good as dead." and I'm like what? then I hear the screech then I look up.. fuck a dragon.. as I prepare myself I hear more wings.. what?.. I look around FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU A BLOOD DRAGON! Yep I was DP'd by TWO dragons.. A reload and another fast travel to the same place brought the same result.. Luckily this time a few Stormcloak guards and a spider distracted them for a bit.. Then I found refuge in a windmill to escape the fire breath.. Arrow by arrow I owned those bitches.

I've then spent the rest of my time completing ingredient gathering quests and Vex's stealing quests..

Yeah, I've also found that reloading and repeating the same fast travel will still produce a dragon appearance, but if you just reload then use the wait function to make an hour pass before fast traveling again it's usually safe.

I am very tempted to disenchant the thieves guild armor and see if I can slap the +20 carry capacity ability on multiple pieces of equipment. I'd prefer it if I could find that enchantment on something else to break down instead, but I doubt it's an enchantment randomly found in quantity. And since it was a quest reward, I doubt I'm going to get another thieves' armor.
EDIT: Apparently it's "unique", so it can't be disenchanted. Boo.

I think I've found this weird bug where whenever I try to pickpocket a Staff of Ice Storms off someone, buffs to my pickpocket stat (rings, necklaces, potions, etc.) will actually level down my chance to get it. Everything else has an improved chance, but not that particular type of staff. It's happened on two separate occasions now, so I don't think it's just coincidence.

Hahaha! Okay, double post for super tip of the day. When you pay for skill training from a person, you can just pickpocket your money back afterwards. Rinse and repeat for free leveling.

Edit: Okay, make that INFINITE leveling in a skill. How is this not game-breaking?
Edit edit: Okay, not game breaking because eventually the amount of gold per lesson is so massive it becomes very difficult/impossible to steal back. Still, you can get like a dozen levels in before that happens.

How does that work? Each person has 5 levels of training at a set range of experience.. And once you learn the 5 levels you can't learn from them no more.. Does stealing your money back reset this?

5 levels of skill per character level. If you want to train more, you have to go into the menu and level up, then you can keep training.
