I finally saw REDLINE. It drove me to the brink of insanity and then brought me back down. I shed manly tears of joy at how amazing this movie was. I am so buying it for my birthday and forcing my sister to watch it with me.

I wish it was subbed so I could at least get a grasp of what was going on.. Looked fantastic though.

Basically dude has badly defined super natural powers (Controlling other peoples minds, being a genius etc), he grows up under the guidence of an old dude to learn to controll his powers and his temper, as an adult he discovers 5 more kids with the same powers and tries to reach out to them to give them the same guidance. It turns out... badly.

I found a copy of a subtitle track that seemed like it was done through google translate instead of actually translated, but it was still cohernet enough to follow the plot with no difficulty.
The racist one.

In the end, he's forced to send them to the cornfield.

i saw this in other forum.
VINCENT: ...You know what they call Hunger Games in Japan?
JULES: They don't call it Hunger Games?
VINCENT: No, they got the anime sensibilities there, they wouldn't know what the fuck a Hunger Game is.
JULES: What'd they call it?
VINCENT: Battle Royale with Americans.
JULES: Battle Royale with Americans. What'd they call the Running Man?
VINCENT: Running Man's just Running Man, but they call it Running Man-san.
JULES: What do they call Smash TV?
VINCENT: I dunno, video games are for children.
It's all written in the ancient scrolls of Vectron, by Vectron himself in the first age of Vectron!...

Jebus cripes, I just had almost this exact conversation with my girlfriend like ten minutes ago.

Ooh, except I didn't bring up Smash TV. Really should have. Smash TV is the mad bomb, yo.

An indie movie, produced by the same people as Little Miss Sunshine, starring Aubrey Plaza.
It's based on the meme "Saftey Not Guaranteed."

It looks really good!

Also, tomorrow there's a screening of the New Zealand film "Boy" tomorrow at the Museum of Fine Arts, and I have passes to go and everything, but it's during a class of mine that I can't miss... I really want to see it... And the director will be there for Q&A afterwards. Gaaaahhhh

Yeah that trailer actually wasn't that interesting in my opinion, but I've been reading a bunch of reviews of it and I REALLY WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE.

Wow, they're one Ellen Page short of having the most stereotypical indie movie trailer of all time.

That's Aubrey Plaza. She's April in Parks and Rec, and she was Julie in Scott Pilgrim. She's done a couple of other small things too.

Aubrey Plaza is the best. And Mark Duplass is awesome too. Kristen Bell and Mary Lynn Rajskub are also in it and are cool.
