The Shins

Eh.. I was excited for new Shins.. then I heard the album and well.. there's a couple good tracks.. and it sounds shins-y.. but its not.. I heard that after his experience with Broken Bells he got a producer to play with it this time.. I think that's what it is.. another finger in the pie made it not quite right. They are coming to Australia mid year I think so will try my damn hardest to get tix.. shit will sell out like crazy though so I'm not getting my hopes up.. They better do actual shows too, not just a festival run.

I already have a ticket to see them at the end of April in New York, and I'm really considering getting a ticket for Osheaga in Montreal this summer where they're playing again.

Jukebox the Ghost finally put out their first single for their new album. It's all kinds of perfect.

If you don't know Jukebox the Ghost yet, they're fantastic. Piano based indie rock, and the pianist Ben Thornewill writes amazing songs (he writes half of them, the guitarist writes the other half). He's a huge musical idol for me. The new album is too far away!!
