Arrrrrrg

Have any of you been following the Portal 2 ARG? Even though I'd never have the dedication to actually participate in one of these things myself, it's totally fascinating just to read about them as they unfold... which you can do right here! In a particularly clever (and developer-supportive!) move, Valve has decided to hide their clues inside ten of Steam's best indie games. It's all pretty cool, but the best part? We get a whole new free new level of Bit.Trip.Beat out of the deal. Score!

We return on Friday, with a new comic and a new Q & A session... one of which will be particularly intense! (Hint: there are no Q & A questions about Shampoo commercials.)

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Belated Monday Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"Is the title of the Evil Diva print/desktop a reference to the Evil Diva webcomic? It's one of my favourites!" -Cori

Not intentionally! I was just trying to think of the kind of headline a magazine might use when profiling Nicole and that was what I came up with. Clearly I should have googled the phrase first... I would have discovered it was the title of a pretty nice looking webcomic!

Sorry, Pete and Honoel! I guess this is the first and last time I'll be using the phrase as a title for anything.

"I've been rereading archived strips between bouts of furious paper-writing (I need something to keep what little sanity I have left!), and have noticed that all of them so far have "5LO3!" hidden in the panel somewhere. Is there some mystical significance to this phrase? Can you explain it to us without jeopardizing our lives?" -Claire

That's actually my old signature! SL for Sam Logan, and 03 for the year. I used to work it into every strip. I can't remember exactly why I stopped doing it, but it might have been because I was starting to think of individual strips more as single pages in a larger story than stand-alone works. After all, it might look a bit silly to have a comic book where every single page had been signed!

Warning: This last question contains spoilers for the older Noosehead volume! If you haven't read it yet and don't want it spoiled, TURN AWAY!

...

"Is Sam's giant SATAN tattoo actually the mark that Fridge leaves on bodies he has possessed?" -Barnabas

Whew... lots of folks have been archive diving, obviously! Yes, that's exactly what it is. It was one of a few clues I dropped for folks trying to figure out what had happened to Sam.

....

That's a wrap for today! See you on Wednesday, team.

New Prints!

No Q and A today, friends! I'm out of town and... er... forgot to bring a copy of your questions with me. Whoops! I'll make it up to you on Monday, scout's honour!

But I do bring good news! The brand new MegaFuzzy limited print that debuted at Emerald City Comic-Con is now available to order online!

Fair warning to anyone wanting to snag one... there were only about 80 or so of these signed, numbered prints left after the show, and our previous MegaFuzzy print sold out online in less than two weeks, so there's a chance they could move pretty quickly. Then again, maybe they won't! But do you want to take that chance? CAN YOU AFFORD TO TAKE THAT CHANCE?

We also have a couple of new regular -- but still pretty! -- 11 x 17 prints, based on the Nicole and Van Chase Book Club wallpapers. (Which I suppose means Nicole's infamous nose is officially public knowledge at this point... at least in tiny preview graphic form!) You can nab them either individually or as part of a discounted bundle with some of our older prints. Hooray!
