Dev & Cat comics

No April Fools day joke here, team! But don't worry: Skull Panda has you covered.

A lot of the content of Sam and Fuzzy is the result of obsessive (possibly over-obsessive) planing. But the Devahi/Conscience Cat dynamic was just one of those happy accidents. I'm glad these two characters found each other, because I really enjoy writing them together.

Every time Conscience Cat appears in the comic, a well-meaning newer reader asks me if I'd consider making a t-shirt based on him. But there's no need to ask -- I already made a Conscience Cat t-shirt! It's actually my oldest design that we still sell, based on his very first appearance. We also have a whiteboard, but at this precise moment we're all out of them. Huzzah... more have arrived!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Ending Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"Which desktop idea won the [...] book club poll for the next bonus pack?" -Mark

Right now, it is neck-and-neck between the fictional magazine covers idea, the Breaking Bad parody and the Ghostbusters parody. But there's still a few Book Club members who haven't voted yet! Speak soon, idle members, or forever hold your peace!

I think I might do the top two designs this time around, if only because I really like these suggestions!

"Are we gonna see some Soft Serv cameo in Sam and Fuzzy? …Will you at least trademark him before Sega does?" -William

Original character, DO NOT STEAL

"What is Mr. Tusk's qualification to be on the board? Judging purely by his attire, I'd guess he either runs illegal poaching operations, or an adventure supply store." -Duncan

Truly, the greatest mystery Sam and Fuzzy still has yet to explore. His attire does suggest a lot, but don't forget... he is also a Colonel! So maybe he's a military man, or possibly a fast food magnate.

That's a wrap for this week! See you on Monday, team.

Oh Canada

The events page for Camosun College's Comics Conference is up! If you are going to be in Victoria on April 8th, you should come by and check it out! It's free, and I'll have plenty of Sam and Fuzzy swag in tow.

Have the bummers of Sam and Fuzzy recent been getting you down? Here is some bonus Canadian lightness from over in Skull Panda's neck of the woods:
