Sam and Fuzzy Vol 6 & 7: Now live on Kickstarter!

It's here! The Kickstarter for the final two Sam and Fuzzy books has launched. Ahhh!

With these books, the entire Sam and Fuzzy series will be available in print, in both softcover and deluxe hardcover form. And the more funds we raise, the fancier and more feature-stuffed the books will be! So please check out the project page. There are a ton of cool rewards, as well as a goofy video with a surprise at the end.

To celebrate the launch of the Sam and Fuzzy series' final books, I thought it might be nice to check in with them both and see how they are doing. (They seem well.)

On Friday, we'll be returning briefly to our Cult Classic story for one last comic to wrap it up. Then on Monday, I've got some other fun stuff planned. Putting these books together gave me a chance to look back on the whole series... it got me in the mindset to do some special comics!

Sam & Fuzzy: The Final Book Kickstarter launches on Wednesday at 9am Pacific!

The time is almost here, friends! The Kickstarter for Volume 6 and 7 of Sam and Fuzzy -- aka Race to the Bottom Part 1 and 2 -- will launch on Wednesday, at 9am pacific time.

I'm so excited! These are the final Sam and Fuzzy books, after all, and we only get to do this once! I hope, with your help, we can make them as special as possible.

See you on Wednesday for the launch! (As well as a new comic, of course.)

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A:  Random Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"Uh... how's that kickstarter coming along?" -Dan

It arrives NEXT WEEK! The kickstarter for the final two Sam and Fuzzy books -- Race to the Bottom Part 1 and 2 -- will be launching on Wednesday, May 20th. I am both very excited and very nervous, as is always the case with kickstarter projects! But I've tried to make some really special books and other goodies for the big S&F sendoff.

"I wanted to let you know what I thought about the idea of a Random button on the comic. I think it would be a good idea. When work is slow and I am bored, I often find myself perusing webcomics that I've already read. With comics like Schlock Mercenary, Dumbing Of Age, or Questionable Content. I can quickly find myself in the middle of an arc I half remember and am content to reread from there. I find myself doing this far more often than reading from the start due to that being static and easier to remember." -Julian

I know this is not technically a question, but got a number of nice emails and messages over the last week in response to last week's question about a "random comic" button, so I thought I'd share one here.

It sounds like it's something a lot of people would enjoy having! A number of folks expressed a sentiment similar to the one above -- that it was a fun way for longtime fans to revisit random stories. I also got a few suggestions from folks who thought it would be fun if the "random" button took you to the start of a random story, rather than any random page at all, which would be an interesting option, too.

Thanks for your thoughts, y'all! I will see what I can do. I don't think a "random" button is a default feature of the custom comic archive script I'm using, but I'll see if it's something I can figure out.

"Is your platformer character series dead?" -Alex

It's just resting! I've taking a break to work on some other projects. But I will definitely get back to it! I was having a lot of fun with it, and I'm sure you can look forward to seeing more of those pieces on my Patreon, twitter, and instagram in the future.

That's all for now! But come back next week for more comics, and for the big kickstarter!
