You think Rockford Files is cool

I can totally relate to what Fuzzy is saying in today's strip. It is hard to get into a creative place when you don't have huge stacks of cash. For example, to get "in the mood" to draw comics, I usually munch down a few cans of caviar, have a quick soak in my gin-filled hot tub, maybe place a few bets on a few horses... you know how it is.

I have finished writing the text descriptions for the first half of the comics on my links page. Take a look and find out why it is taking me so long to do this. I went particularly into depth for the print comics write-ups. After all, those comics require a little more effort to read then simply clicking a few links. I figured people might need extra encouragement to check them out. Anyhow, that's one column of link descriptions down and one column to go...

The Sam and Fuzzy site will be down on Saturday for a few hours, starting at 12 AM EDT, because our server is moving. We'll be back in full force by 8 AM.

Freedom costs a buck o' five

Looking at today's strip really helps remind me why I love working in black and white. Also, it reminds me that I would really like a hat like the one that Fuzzy is wearing.

I'm in the midst of updating the links section, which was so horrendously out-of-date that it was missing well over half of what I'm reading these days. As you can tell, the new version isn't finished yet... next to each link, there are spaces for words that I haven't actually written. It took me long enough just picking one of my favourite images from each comic to use as an icon. As usual, I have taken what should be a simple project and made it way more work than it needs to be. But at least now it has the right comics in it! The descriptions will follow shortly. Are you excited? YES, YES YOU ARE!

Maybe you won't suffer, maybe it's quick

The Sam and Fuzzy message board recieved a bit of a revamp recently. Lots of human beings were starting to post, and as you know, human beings need lots of RULES and STRUCTURE and ARBITRARY CHANGES. So I lept into action. For example, in addition to the "On-Topic" area -- and I'm using the term "on topic" very loosely -- we now have a "Media Room" where you can talk about pretty much anything you can watch, read, play or listen to. And really... aren't we all the better for it? Of course we are.

No matter what colour your political stripes are, you have to admit that Mr. Bush is not really the best at organizing English words into sentences... heck, he admits it himself. Keeping that in mind, this video is pretty interesting to watch. It's worth watching for the clips of the younger, more succinct Bush in action... even if it does go on to make the sketchy claim that Mr. Bush is going senile. Did you know that you could reach such a definitive conclusion using only two video clips? I didn't! But now that I do, I've been busy. After assembling several pairs of clips, here's what I've learned so far:

John Kerry wears suits all the time, even while he sleeps and showers.

Dick Cheney doesn't have any legs.

John Edwards can never stop moving his arms, or he will explode.

Whew! That took five or ten minutes. I'm going to go lie down for awhile. See you all on Friday!
