Did you see the pool? They FLIPPED the bitch!

One of my favourite television shows, Clone High, has finally gotten a DVD release. Even today, in this magical age of "adult swim" and whatnot, you seldom see an "older audience" animated series with writing as sharp and as consistently hilarious as you will on these two discs. Like most of the cartoons that have aired on MTV in recent years, the show was cancelled before the first season was even over. Still, it feels great to be watching these episodes on my TV again.

Plus, it has one of the greatest TV themes ever! "Way, way back in the nineteen eighties, secret government employees, dug up famous guys and ladies, and made amusing genetic copies..."

My book-mailing packaging material has arrived! It is awaiting my pickup at the local UPS. Unfortunately, it is waiting along with a surprise "brokerage" fee that basically doubles the cost of the material. That, my friends, is a depressing note to find stuck to your door. Arggh!

In lighter news, I have done a guest strip for Girly. As always, it was fun trying to fill in for one of my favourite webcartoonists. I didn't mean for the strip to sound so bitter, though! I blame Rikk's influence. I was a little pressed for time, so I had to ask him to colour it for me. You can view our handiwork by clicking the image below.

Lonely shooting star

No one wants to feel like their boss hates them. But take my word for it... sometimes, having a boss that likes you is much, much worse. Generally speaking, the kind of man who needs a "buddy" within his staff is the kind of man who wants to talk about himself; who wants to tell you that he is a business mastermind even though he's only pulling in two-bucks-an-hour more than you are.

Perhaps he will even try to tell you that his mother is the president of the World Bank, or that he is "on the run" from some kind of crime organization. I mean those two things specifically, not just as hypothetical examples. I am speaking from experience. Traumatizing, disturbing experience.

I am still waiting on my book-mailing pacakaging, but it should be here in the next day or two. I apologize for the slight delay in shipping the books... I promise this is being done only to ensure that they do not become inadvertantly mangled by a poorly-coordinated postal worker.
