Four Ton Mantis

The Canadian election is over! Now our old minority government has been replaced with an even smaller minority government! That's pretty rad, but I think we can do better next time. Perhaps give one seat each to 308 seperate political parties.

In all serious, though, I think this promises to be a pretty interesting government. I'm really curious to see if the four parties can make the situation work -- like some of our past minority governments have done -- instead of just dicking around for a year like they did last time.

In other news... it's official: more Futurama is on the way! Boy, does it feel good to finally see that confimred!

Your mommy looks tasty

I think the next couple of weeks worth of comics are going to be a lot of fun! We'll meet some new characters, get reaquainted with some old ones... we'll live together, laugh together, learn together. It may all seem confusing now. But before long, you -- the longtime Sam and Fuzzy reader -- will see that there is no reason to panic. Have I ever led you astray before? (Don't answer that.)

Noosehead, as many of you know, have been mentioned in the comic a few times already. I'm going to list all the times I could think of below. You absolutely do not need to have read any of those comics to understand this current story. This information is strictly for the curious:

Noosehead

Noosehead for Sale

Noosehead Live

Also, there is this pinup of the full band that I drew ages ago. I think that's everything! I'm sure a hardcore reader will let me know if I've missed anything.

It's election day up here in Canadia. Canadonians, please remember to cast your ballot. Unless, of course, you're planning to vote for a candidate that I dislike. If that's the case, I don't mind if you stay in today. I'm sure there are lots of excellent programs on the television!

I'm just kidding, of course. There definitely won't be any excellent programs on television.

Yume wo miseru'n da, please, please me

Well, that's that! What did you think of the latest story? It was a little different than my usual fare, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Are you? As always, my inbox is your sounding board.

The webcomic blog Fleen ran a neat little article about my ongoing battle of words with Jeph Jacques. Sigh... even my imaginary webcartoonist feud gets more coverage than my actual comic. But I'm not bitter, because I like Fleen. Sometimes they actually run articles about comic form and technique and narrative structure. I don't think I've ever seen another webcomic blog that does that regularly. It's nice to see a comic blog that actually talks about, you know, the comics.

On Monday, we shift into the next big phase of Sam and Fuzzy. This one has been stewing in the back of my head for a long time -- almost as long as the whole Ninja/Fridge/Candice arc -- and I am pumped that it's finally time for it to hit the internets. See you then!
